ANOTHER evil contraption in the house that must be vanquished!
Way to rain on my parade, Amazon. Just got a text that my package of goodies is delayed by bad weather somewhere.
I was really really REALLY looking forward to the DVDs. WHERE in the country is there bad enough weather right now to delay moving around packages?!? I ask you! You had one job to do -- get it to my house on the release date as paid for and promised! We had a deal -- and truly if this were Once Upon a Time then you'd be very sorry that a deal got broken. Grrr.
So I really need a Deeks AND a Snow/Charming, STAT - favorite scenes, too:
Don't mind me. I'm just going to sit over here and pout for a while.
(Another lovely cooler day today!)
Much love,

Evil cell phone, I've got you now!
And how was your weekend? True to form, I binge-watched Once Upon a Time. I'm now half way through season 4. Season 5 starts this fall so I'm running out of new eps.
Snow and Charming are just my favorites, hands down. I know there's a huge following for Emma and Hook but not me. These two have been and continue to be through so much (how many curses now?) ....
.... but True Love always wins.
This week is a fantastic one for me for new releases, all arriving tomorrow:
-- DECEPTIONS by Kelley Armstrong. This is the last of the Cainsville Trilogy. How to describe it... kinda mystery, kinda paranormal.
-- PATTERN OF LIES by Charles Todd. 7th of 7 in series featuring Bess Crawford, a British army nurse in WWI.
-- Season 6 of NCIS: Los Angeles. I've already watched these episodes but I'm looking forward to the bonus features, particularly the audio commentary by Densi. Sneaking a Deeks!
-- And Season 4 of Once Upon A Time. Again, already watching the eps, but want to see the bonus stuff.
Let me tell you, it's like Christmas. I'm giddy.
It's a lovely cooler day today. High in the 60s. Lovin' it.
Not quite yet but it is CLOSER.
Much love,

Fake-throwing the ball one too many times....
Came across this and I love it:
The Story of Romeo and Juliet Condensed Into a Single GIF
This is my response to thinking I have plans to do any kind of chores this weekend:
Yeah, I know, I'll be watching Once Upon a Time.
Probably won't even be a contest:
(East Coast rules or West Coast rules?) (NCIS: Los Angeles reference)
So there goes the weekend:
Yeah, this is my shocked face:
This is me not feeling guilty about it (and sneaking a Deeks):
All right, now go have a good weekend:
Much love,

THAT’S RIGHT! 'TWAS I that set the house ablaze!!!
I was up at 3:30 this morning; the sky was FINALLY clear and for the 15 minutes I was outside I saw a few meteors. Woot!
Yeah, it looks kinda like that -- just a streak of light for a split second. You have to use your peripheral vision.
When I was growing up, two songs helped me through the "feeling bad" times; and no, I don't know why these two songs. Yes, on 45s.
Dream Weaver by Gary Wright:
And Carly Simon's Nobody Does it Better (yes, the James Bond song) ... (again, I DON'T know why):
I've started Season Three of Once Upon A Time.
And I need a little Deeks:
See ya'll tomorrow.
Much love,

Half way through the week ... low five!
Half way through the week ....almost half way through the month .... half way through season two of Once Upon a Time.
HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT
Have I mentioned that I really don't like summer? You might not have noticed.
And don't forget:
Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks Wednesday Night - Thursday Morning!
The annual Perseid Meteor Shower--named for the direction the meteors will radiate from (the constellation Perseus)--will reach peak viewing tomorrow night. The reason we see these meteors every year in such a predictable manner is because the Earth crosses the orbital path of Comet Swift-Tuttle (the meteors are caused by the debris trail from the comet burning up in the Earth's atmosphere). If you want to view the meteors, the best time is a few hours before dawn. However, as early as 10PM you can likely start seeing some meteors.
Much love,

Stare down!
Not really much to talk about today. Just another Tuesday. Hot hot hot. All week long. Summer isn't done with us yet. I hate summer...
Received via Kindle the Margaret Maron, LONG UPON THE LAND. This is 20th of 20 in series featuring Deborah Knott, district judge in North Carolina. Here's a description:
On a quiet August morning, Judge Deborah Knott's father Kezzie makes a shocking discovery on a remote corner of his farm: the body of a man bludgeoned to death. Investigating this crime, Deborah's husband, Sheriff's Deputy Dwight Bryant, soon uncovers a long-simmering hostility between Kezzie and the slain man over a land dispute. The local newspaper implies that Deborah's family may have had something to do with the murder-and that Dwight is dragging his feet on the case. Meanwhile, Deborah is given a cigarette lighter that once belonged to her mother. The cryptic inscription inside rekindles Deborah's curiosity about her parents' past, and how they met. For years she has wondered how the daughter of a wealthy attorney could have married a widowed, semi-illiterate bootlegger, and this time she's determined to find the answer. But why are Deborah's brothers so reluctant to talk about the dead man? Is the murder linked to Kezzie's illegal whiskey business? And could his courtship of Deborah's mother have something to do with the bad blood between the two families? Despite Deborah's promise not to interfere in Dwight's work, she cannot stop herself from doing everything she can to help clear her brothers and her father from suspicion . .Published 2015, it has 304 pages.
So I walked the dogs when it was cooler this morning, work, home, dinner, probably hang out in the basement watching some Once Upon a Time. Here's a couple favorite scenes one from season one -- the first is in the flashback time of being in the fairytale as Snow White and Charming and not their contemporary selves of Mary Margaret and David:
And a good one from contemporary characters when the curse is broken, beginning of season two:
Deeks will have to wait until I'm done with this binge:
Much love,
