Aghhh, it's Monday

And here we go. Service Manager out with a migraine again. I've gotten him a little something for Christmas to help migraines that I'm tempted to give to him early.

But I'll wait. It can't be fun but damn.

Not much to report from the weekend. The forum went ok. A person who isn't my friend anymore was there so it put on damper on my enthusiasm but I had a very nice short conversation with Danielle afterward so that was nice.

Yeah, that's what it felt like sometimes. Oy.

Nothing on TV tonight.

I'm hoping to find the double spike beads when I get home so I can quickly do the rocker chick bracelet. Otherwise, I'll play with some other beads. That's about it. That's all I got.

Have a good day

Ready for a weekend

TGIF

We'll watch Live PD tonight on TV. I don't have all the components of the bracelet I want to make for Danielle's friend's bracelet. Darn it.

I'll have to get it to her later.

Tomorrow I have a Danielle seminar to go to.

This annual event at Barjon's Books in Billings, MT will shed light on what's to come in 2020, the Year of Evolution! What can we look forward to, and what should we look out for? This event sells out every year, so advanced ticket purchase is recommended!
No other set plans going on. Nothing on TV because of Christmas hiatus.

Do you remember paper dolls? I LOVED my paper dolls. Guess what? I found some of the ones I had on Etsy. The original paper dolls from the 70s. Bwa ahahahhaaha.

Reader, I bought them.

Just looking at them makes me happy! Even though sometimes they were so hard to cut/punch out or you'd cut off a tab. Bah! I had an Alice in Wonderland one, too, I remember, but I haven't seen them anywhere.

And I had a couple Barbie ones too. One I have seen available but I didn't like the clothes in it as much.

So Merry Christmas to me, since Steve didn't get me anything for anniversary or birthday, I'm not putting much stock in Christmas. And don't get me started on the Baby Go Bye Bye I found in better than mint condition (still in its box fergoodnessakes) on Ebay.

Have a good weekend

Weekend so close

Thursday. Nothing on TV for me tonight. I didn't bead last night ... maybe tonight.

I'm waiting on some beads arriving so I can make a bracelet for a friend of a friend. It will be similar in pattern to this:

But on memory wire with Shungite, black tourmaline, and selenite beads. And with rose gold double spikes. Those look kinda like this:

We'll see how it goes. I'd like to get it done by Saturday noon if the stuff shows up so I can hand it over to my friend to get to her friend.

Otherwise, I'll drop it off on a Tuesday at Barjons; she's there then, too.

Have a good day

Hello, tiki bar?

Wednesday. Steve has the gun range tonight. I have another episode of The Masked Singer. We're down to the last five.

The creativity/inspiration fairy godmother wasn't with me when I was beading last night.

This was the palette I was playing with.

I think that maybe the black beads are the problem. They're just not doing the job somehow. I will try working on something else tonight. Maybe another ornament or the ribbon ornament thing.

I know, it's a little frustrating.

It's only Tuesday, people.

It's already been a long week.

Particular people are cranky today and I don't want to be around it anymore today.

Tonight, I have an extra episode of The Masked Singer to watch on TV. Another new one is tomorrow night on its regular night. While it's on, I think I'll be starting a new bracelet. I just get a great feeling when I'm in that creative zone and the design is all mine.

The beads I'm gathering together right now that are grey, black, gold and sparkly.

Beading is taking up most of my reading time but I finally finished the SFF book I was doing and I'm currently reading PENNY FOR YOUR SECRETS by Anna Lee Huberl. 3rd of 3 in series featuring Verity Kent, a young war widow in 1919 England.

The Great War may be over, but for many, there are still obstacles on the home front. Reconciling with her estranged husband makes Verity sympathetic to her friend Ada’s marital difficulties. Bourgeois-bred Ada, recently married to the Marquess of Rockham, is overwhelmed trying to navigate the ways of the aristocracy. And when Lord Rockham is discovered shot through the heart with a bullet from Ada’s revolver, Verity fears her friend has made a fatal blunder. While striving to prove Ada’s innocence, Verity is called upon for another favor. The sister of a former Secret Service colleague has been killed in what authorities believe was a home invasion gone wrong. The victim’s war work—censoring letters sent by soldiers from the front—exposed her to sensitive, disturbing material. Verity begins to suspect these two unlikely cases may be linked. But as the connections deepen, the consequences—not just for Verity, but for Britain—grow more menacing than she could have imagined.

Facing a work week

And we're back.

And we're officially fully into the Holiday Hiatus. Nothing on TV for me tonight.

I have watched five episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel this weekend.

I had fun at the bead class on Saturday though I'm not quite pleased with the way my bracelet is turning out. I like the colors a lot; I don't know if I particularly like the design.

Sorry that's such a dark photo.

Ah well. They can't all be winners. I'll need to play with it some more. The next subject of beading concern is that we're having a party for our little group on the 21st. I need to bring some food (I'm thinking maybe lefse?) and I should bring a little present for everyone. And what do you get for about possibly ten people who make their own jewelry AND you don't want to spend much AND you don't want to spend much time AND you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings so they all need to be equal AND you don't really know how many will actually show up?

I'm thinking about something like this:

It can be used for a pendulum or a bookmark. The seller sends random stones; just under $5 each; it would save time; save money probably ultimately, and hassle of choosing stones for people. Or make a chakra one like this sort of:

Or make one like this with seaglass beads:

Ultimately, I'd like to make resin ones like this with real pressed flowers and so forth:

So I don't know.

Have a good day
