Make the world go away ....

 Tuesday.

 The 100 Day Project

Update on the fringe bracelet. Not quite done yet but close.

I did work on it last night for about 3 hours. I showed it to Steve. He says it looks like coconut.

 I don't mind. I like coconut.

We've got The Curse of Oak Island to watch tonight. I've also got a live stream from Randee to watch. And I need to Coda-proof things for when he possibly comes home tomorrow.

Have a good day

Come, let us hence from here for it be Monday

 Monday

The 100 Day Project. I don't have a completed piece yet. I've been working on the bracelet. Here's how it started on Saturday:

Things got chaotic yesterday so I don't have a progress photo. On the plus side, I started to clean up/organize the bead piles. Trying to do a bit at a time. Organizing by color.

On the negative: I finally admitted that I lost the battle for the wound on Coda's leg. We took him to the vet yesterday evening for emergency admittance to have his leg amputated. He is absolutely fine otherwise -- hasn't lost weight, eating and drinking  very well, peeing and otherwise very well, his attitude is always so bright and good. We acknowledge that his other back leg isn't strong enough to necessarily support him as it should when it will be left as the only one back there. We're hoping with this procedure, that will get stronger and, we also told ourselves and the vet, that when this all happened and he was paralyzed from the middle of his body on back ... he was still a very happy and sparkly dog even when he couldn't move at all. If at age 12, he doesn't walk and we have to lift him (as I've been doing for the last week or so) ... then that is how it will be.

Today, I'm told Coda is on an IV of antibiotics and pain meds prior to the procedure happening sometime later today. Then the vet will call me about the next steps in recovery. Ryker is at work with me. It is a nice break from the stress having professionals looking after Coda, I will admit.

Currently reading HOPE FOR THE BEST by Jodi Taylor. 10th of 13 in series of St. Mary's Chronicles.

You can't change History. History doesn't like it. There are always consequences. Max is no stranger to taking matters into her own hands. Especially when she's had A Brilliant Idea. Yes, it will mean breaking a few rules, but - as Max always says - they're not her rules. Seconded to the Time Police to join in the hunt for the renegade Clive Ronan, Max is a long way from St Mary's. But life in the future does have its plus points - although not for long. A problem with the Time Map reveals chaos in the 16th century and the wrong Tudor queen on the throne. History has gone rogue, there's a St Mary's team right in the firing line and Max must step up. You know what they say. Hope for the best. But plan for the worst.

Published 2019; 453 pages. I needed some surreal humor.

We have Street Outlaws to watch tonight. We'll have leftovers for dinner. I will keep working on the bracelet for at least 10 minutes.

 Have a good day

TGIF

Friday. Receptionist went home at lunch and then called in sick this afternoon. Today is the last day for our salesperson.

The 100 Day Project - nothing new to report other than I started prepping on something that will look a little like this:

Here's the mix:

This project will count for the Not4Me challenge, a 100 Days Project, and an April found objects. Triple whammy!

It's going to be a quiet weekend for us. Not going anywhere (Bead group cancelled). Staying home with the boys. Hopefully do some organizing of beads as my cleaning project.

I also hope to watch The Ten Commandments as my Passover/Easter tradition. Lusty busty Anne Baxter!

But the name of the game is relax and rest. Our office will be down to only three people starting Monday.

Have a good weekend

We all feel that way sometimes

 Thursday

I didn't manage to make a piece of jewelry last night for Day 60. I tried to make a bracelet with some carnelian beads but the holes were too small. And then I tried a lot of different things. Nothing came together.

Today's daily The 100 Day Project inspiration email that I subscribed to mentioned lemons and lemonade.

 Here's how I responded:

I was doing a piece a jewelry every day until Day 55. A lot of stress at family business, a wounded fur baby, lack of sleep, came together. I had to accept it again last night. Both missed nights I did spend some time trying to put something together so I'll have accept that is enough -- the attempt without a finished piece. The process, the journey, is the point. Not the destination. It's just a nice little bonus to have something to show off a bit. :)
Last night I did manage to do some cleaning. A small drop in the bucket but I did it.

At morning coffee online this morning, Randee offered a challenge to do a "Not For You" piece of jewelry. And it was kinda the kick in the pants to get my juices flowing.

And maybe, just maybe, use some Found Objects to do it tonight.

 Have a good day

Snow is icky

 Wednesday

 The 100 Day Project

 Day 59:

This I'm kinda proud/surprised with because of how it came together from bits and pieces. Not planned at all. I liked the blue flower from Sam's box this month but there was only the one. Looked for copper chain for a very simple chain-focal because it was getting late and I was tired. But I only had a short length of the top chain and only 12 inches of the rosary chain I just received in a claim it sale via JJB. The photo doesn't quite to justice to the sparkly.

Steve has the gun range tonight.

Have a good day

Winter came back...

Tuesday. Snow. Cold. Lots of snow.

Ryker of course loves it. Comes in from outside looking like the abominable snow man.

 The 100 Day Project:

 Day 58:

I received my April found objects. I ordered two packs.

I don't know what I'll be making tonight. And we have The Curse of Oak Island to watch and I have live streaming to watch of Randee.

Have a good day

Another Monday

And so it begins.

 The 100 Day Project

I didn't do a project for Day 55. I was just too tired to complete anything. I have to accept that that is going to happen.

Day 56:

Day 57:

Currently reading WHEN BLOOD LIES by C. S. Harris. 17th of 17 in series featuring Sebastian St. Cyr, Viscount Devlin, an investigator in Regency England

March, 1815. The Bourbon King Louis XVIII has been restored to the throne of France, Napoleon is in exile on the isle of Elba, and Sebastian St. Cyr, Viscount Devlin, and his wife, Hero, have traveled to Paris in hopes of tracing his long-lost mother, Sophie, the errant Countess of Hendon. But his search ends in tragedy when he comes upon the dying Countess in the wasteland at the tip of the ÃŽle de la Cité. Stabbed—apparently with a stiletto—and thrown from the bastions of the island’s ancient stone bridge, Sophie dies without naming her murderer. Sophie had been living in Paris under an assumed name as the mistress of Maréchal Alexandre McClellan, the scion of a noble Scottish Jacobite family that took refuge in France after the Forty-Five Rebellion. Once one of Napoleon’s most trusted and successful generals, McClellan has now sworn allegiance to the Bourbons and is serving in the delegation negotiating on behalf of France at the Congress of Vienna. It doesn’t take Sebastian long to realize that the French authorities have no interest in involving themselves in the murder of a notorious Englishwoman at such a delicate time. And so, grieving and shattered by his mother’s death, Sebastian takes it upon himself to hunt down her killer. But what he learns will not only shock him but could upend a hard-won world peace.

Published 2022; 367 pages.

We have Street Outlaws to watch tonight on TV. I'm planning on a simple bracelet for Day 58. I'll be getting my April found objects today so that will be fun.

Have a good day
