Realizing the three-day weekend doesn't go on forever...

 Tuesday

It was a nice three-day weekend. I went to the coffee shop on Saturday for beading group. I worked on a found objects bracelet pattern with the cup chain. The first steps in a pattern are always a pain. It was a beautiful, lovely, dark, rainy weekend.

I actually didn't work on the bracelet yesterday. I once again realized I had self-imposed behavior on myself that wasn't necessarily in my best interest. I needed a break from obligation -- not put more on me.

I'm currently reading A STUDY IN SCARLET WOMEN by Sherry Thomas. 1st of 7 in series featuring Charlotte Holmes, a disgraced young gentlewoman solving cases under the pseudonym Sherlock Holmes, beginning in 1886 London.

With her inquisitive mind, Charlotte Holmes has never felt comfortable with the demureness expected of the fairer sex in upper class society. But even she never thought that she would become a social pariah, an outcast fending for herself on the mean streets of London. When the city is struck by a trio of unexpected deaths and suspicion falls on her sister and her father, Charlotte is desperate to find the true culprits and clear the family name. She’ll have help from friends new and old—a kind-hearted widow, a police inspector, and a man who has long loved her. But in the end, it will be up to Charlotte, under the assumed name Sherlock Holmes, to challenge society’s expectations and match wits against an unseen mastermind.

 Published 2016; 336 pages.

Tonight, we'll probably watch some playoff hockey. And since I took yesterday off, I suppose I should bead.

 Have a good day

We made it, honey

 Friday. TGIF

It is appearing that my supplies for the cuff bracelet are showing up. I got notified via email the cup chain is there and the two charms I was waiting for for the pendant.

I've got the coffee shop tomorrow. We were notified that due to personnel shortage, the coffee shop we go to isn't going to be open however they've reserved the room at the coffee shop on Central and the drinks will be paid by them.

Otherwise, we're just going to rest and relax. Lots of beading. Listening to audiobook. Napping. Etc.

 Have a good 3-day weekend

Escape route! This way!

 Thursday

The cup chain showed up last night .... it was the wrong size. My fault. I assumed it was a one size when, in fact, it was a millimeter bigger. I think. So... Not orange.

So... couple options. I could just work with what I've got for the found objects. I could do a single row tennis bracelet. The easy and smart thing to do.

Or if you're like me, and you have your mind set on doing that particular pattern,  you go on Etsy and order different cup chain and ask for express shipping so you can have it for the weekend. And a different color scheme:

And I needed the next size up pearl beads for the base. Of course. Hopefully it will all arrive tomorrow, Saturday at the latest even with a holiday weekend. That will still give me a week and a couple days to work on it.

In other news .... We hired a new sales person!!!

His name is Bo and he starts on Tuesday. And he's a grownup and everything.

And he has a career in sales. Grew up in Billings so knows the area and has contacts. Looking for a job for the next 20 years.

And the best part is I don't have to do that job anymore....

 Stop. We're due this.

Tonight, we'll probably watch the second part of Street Outlaws and some hockey. Steve's feeling a little under the weather so I think I'm making my Chicken Egg Roll Soup (I needed to anyway), and go to bed early for tomorrow is Friday before a three-day weekend.

 Have a good day

I know, buddy, me too

 Wednesday

Steve as the gun range tonight. I was notified that some cup chain for a found object project is in the mailbox so I'll hopefully be starting to work on that. Here's the pattern.

Except mine won't be as wide (this is 9 wide - I'm thinking 5-7 wide) and it will be orange. Here's the found object cup chain and the coral color for accent that I already had.

Here's what has arrived today.

We'll see it if works together and we'll see if I'll get it done in a week and a half.

Tonight I'll probably just be cutting all the lengths I will need. I'll also be listening to the audiobook by Nathan Lowell.

Have a great day

Attitude, with flowers

 Tuesday. Only Tuesday?

I'm rather tired today. Coda was restless until after midnight. Hopefully tonight we can settle down early-ish.

I'm thinking of maybe picking up some KFC or something easy. We watched about half of the Street Outlaws last night. Maybe we'll watch the other half tonight. I also have live streaming of Thunderhorse/Randee so I should tune in to that.

Last night I worked on the found objects charm pendant. I have two spaces left but I'm liking how this is turning out.

The seven chakras and the four elements. The last two charms should arrive later this week, I think.

Have a good day

Chin up, it's Monday again

 Monday

Currently listening to the audio of SOUTH COAST by Nathan Lowell. 1st of Shaman's Tales from the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper trilogy. SFF

Otto is Richard Krugg's only son and heir to the Shaman's gift. Otto doesn't want it. He wants to be a fisherman. When company policies force unwelcome changes onto his life and threaten even the security of the village, Otto discovers that being a shaman isn't optional. Jimmy Pirano is caught between the devil and the deep green sea when new production quotas are handed down from corporate headquarters. Locked into a century of existing practice, Jimmy is forced to find new ways to fish and new places to do it in or face the very real possibility that Pirano Fisheries will lose the St. Cloud franchise. Join Otto, Richard, and Rachel Krugg as they struggle with what it means to be the son of a shaman. Cast off with Jimmy, Tony, and Casey as they navigate the shoals and shallows of corporate fishery along the South Coast.

Published 2014; 293 pages.

Actually it was a pretty good weekend. I went to the coffee shop on Saturday. We got bumped out at 3 again by another reservation but that was ok.

And my found objects for May finally starting talking to me so I made some pieces yesterday. I just have to add chain to them. I'm waiting for some beads to arrive to work on the big time-consuming piece so I'm trying to get the other stuff done as much as possible.

I have until June 6th to complete everything.

Tonight we have Street Outlaws to watch as well as some hockey playoffs. We'll probably have left overs for dinner. I got notified of some charms showing up when I get home for another found object piece so I'll be working on that.

Have a good day

Friday you say?

TGIF. The work week is almost over.

I'll probably be going to the coffee shop tomorrow. I played with my Found Objects items last night. Still not over the moon with them but I was starting to get some ideas.

Reminder, this is what I'm working with:

I've thought of five pieces at the moment. I've got about two and a half weeks to complete them.

It probably gets boring to see it, but otherwise just the usual. We're tired. We need to recover, re-charge, etc.

Reading, beading, napping, crocheting, hanging with the boys, cleaning (?), etc.

That's about it, I guess. Not so exciting stuff.

Have a good weekend

 Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
