Realizing the three-day weekend doesn't go on forever...

 Tuesday

It was a nice three-day weekend. I went to the coffee shop on Saturday for beading group. I worked on a found objects bracelet pattern with the cup chain. The first steps in a pattern are always a pain. It was a beautiful, lovely, dark, rainy weekend.

I actually didn't work on the bracelet yesterday. I once again realized I had self-imposed behavior on myself that wasn't necessarily in my best interest. I needed a break from obligation -- not put more on me.

I'm currently reading A STUDY IN SCARLET WOMEN by Sherry Thomas. 1st of 7 in series featuring Charlotte Holmes, a disgraced young gentlewoman solving cases under the pseudonym Sherlock Holmes, beginning in 1886 London.

With her inquisitive mind, Charlotte Holmes has never felt comfortable with the demureness expected of the fairer sex in upper class society. But even she never thought that she would become a social pariah, an outcast fending for herself on the mean streets of London. When the city is struck by a trio of unexpected deaths and suspicion falls on her sister and her father, Charlotte is desperate to find the true culprits and clear the family name. She’ll have help from friends new and old—a kind-hearted widow, a police inspector, and a man who has long loved her. But in the end, it will be up to Charlotte, under the assumed name Sherlock Holmes, to challenge society’s expectations and match wits against an unseen mastermind.

 Published 2016; 336 pages.

Tonight, we'll probably watch some playoff hockey. And since I took yesterday off, I suppose I should bead.

 Have a good day

Much love,
