I should be home doing leisure

Tuesday. Cool and rainy.

There I was last night minding my own business... Getting started on the reading sprints last night... I must have been looking for some book online ... when all of a sudden ...

... I discovered a NEW book release by an author I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! That I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT!

Stop the presses and jump the queue! Currently reading SCHOOL DAYS by Nathan Lowell. First in new SFF trilogy set in the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper world.

When Manchester Yards donates a new training vessel to the Merchant Officer Academy at Port Newmar, Alys Giggone recalls the Chernyakova. She wants Ishmael Wang and his crew to take a crew of cadets into the Deep Dark. They have to sort out the crews of two ships, figure out what lessons they need to teach, and who will get those lessons. Once they agree, the trouble starts

Published 2023; 353 pages. The reason I'm so shocked is that the author has been ill for a couple years but I'd been semi-following his blogs on his writing progress for new books. I'm so happy. And I've totally been in the mood for a sci fi traders-type read. How did the Universe know?

I have another new release today. A thriller. ZERO DAYS by Ruth Ware. Stand alone.

Hired by companies to break into buildings and hack security systems, Jack and her husband, Gabe, are the best penetration specialists in the business. But after a routine assignment goes horribly wrong, Jack arrives home to find her husband dead. To add to her horror, the police are closing in on their suspect—her. Suddenly on the run and quickly running out of options, Jack must decide who she can trust as she circles closer to the real killer.

Published 2023; 368 pages. I might do this on audio while at work.

 Tonight, I'm going to read.

Have a good day

Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
