Bring it, Monday

Back again in Monday.

The weekend was ok. The bead class was fun. I finished the project minus the clasp so that was good.

Nothing on TV tonight. We'll probably watch Antique Roadshow during dinner. Read and then go to bed.

Currently reading SCORPION by Andrew Kaplan. 1st of 4 in Scorpion series, thriller/espionage.

Kelly Ormont sprints down the narrow streets of Paris. When a car pulls up and a man points a gun at her, life as she knows it is over. Within days, this beautiful congressman’s daughter will be in the Middle East, where some of the wealthiest men in the world will bid to make her their slave. Only the Scorpion can save her now. An American raised among the Bedouin, the Scorpion is the CIA’s top agent in the Arabian peninsula. To save Kelly, he slips into the sinister underworld of human trafficking, where the kidnapped girl’s trail leads him to a Saudi prince with fanatical global ambitions. When the Scorpion discovers a link between the prince and the Russians, Kelly will not be the only person who needs a savior.

Published1985; 336 pages. I didn't know it was published so early - I probably wouldn't have read it -- but it looks like the other three books have been published within the last ten years.

Have a good day

A big ARROOOO for Friday

TGIF at last.

Nothing really on TV tonight but we'll find something to watch during dinner. What's for dinner?

I have bead class tomorrow. This is the bracelet we're doing:

I haven't decided whether to go regular dressy/classy in my bead choice:

Or summer fun colors:

I guess it will all depend on how I feel tomorrow. I'm either an artist or a diva apparently when it comes to beading.

Otherwise, just hanging out with my boys and staying cool because it's supposed to get close to 100.

Have a good weekend.

Much love,

Hippo don't wanna be a work

Thursday.

Very much looking forward to the weekend if only to nap. Naps are good.

Nothing on TV. Leftovers for dinner. I'm almost done with the Bujold book. I'm pretty sure this is a reread for me. And then bed time.

Have a good day

It's so hot my face is melting

Wednesday. Hot.

But I'm trying an experiment. You know those ice pop frozen thingies?

I'm trying one made out of Moscato wine made with disposable zip-lock type sheaths.

If it works, I was planning to bring some to the bead class on Saturday.

Steve has the gun range tonight. I'll read or bead or veg in front of the TV in the AC.

Have a good day

Monday ... Ppbpbpbpbpbpb

Monday again. Never enough weekend. Where does it go?

Nothing on TV tonight. No idea yet what's for dinner. I'll read and go to bed.

Currently reading THE CURSE OF CHALION by Lois McMaster Bujold. 1st of 3 in Chalion fantasy series.

A man broken in body and spirit, Cazaril returns to the noble household he once served as page and is named secretary-tutor to the beautiful, strong-willed sister of the impetuous boy who is next in line to rule. It is an assignment Cazaril dreads, for it must ultimately lead him to the place he most fears: the royal court of Cardegoss, where the powerful enemies who once placed him in chains now occupy lofty positions. But it is more than the traitorous intrigues of villains that threaten Cazaril and the Royesse Iselle here, for a sinister curse hangs like a sword over the entire blighted House of Chalion.

Weekend readiness

TGIF

Nothing on TV tonight since they've cancelled Live PD.

Currently reading LIES, DAMNED LIES, AND HISTORY by Jodi Taylor. 7th of 11 in Chronicles of St. Mary's series.

Rules are meant to be broken, aren't they? 'I've done some stupid things in my time. I've been reckless. I've broken a few rules. But never before have I ruined so many lives or left such a trail of destruction behind me.' Max has never been one for rules. They tend to happen to other people. But this time she's gone too far. And everyone at St Mary's is paying the price. With the History Department disintegrating around her and grounded until the end of time, how can she ever put things right?
Published 2015; 296 pages.

No plans for the weekend. No bead class or anything.

On the plus side, I started going to the gym this week. I went three out of the four days I had open.

Not fun but I'm glad I'm doing it.

Have a good weekend.

Ohmygosh, I missed posting yesterday

I don't know what happened yesterday. I don't really remember why I didn't post. Maybe just slipped my mind?

Nothing on TV tonight. We'll have dinner. I could bead. I will read. I will sleep. These are sure things.

And tomorrow is Friday.

Have a good day

Much love,
