It's Friday!

Tomorrow I have a haircut, have to get some groceries, and I have a seminar in the afternoon.

“How to Present Your Spiritual Gifts as a Service"”
You're aware that you have spiritual gifts. They run in your family. Perhaps your mother or grandfather was a Psychic, Medium, Intuitive, Clairvoyant, Energetic Healer, or used divination tools like Tarot or Runes. You've practiced your gifts with others, perhaps even took classes. Maybe you've never taken classes yet you know that your gifts can help people on their life path, and you have a deep calling to step into the healing field.  Yet this process is intimidating. What if others find you to be "weird"? What will your friends and family think? How will you explain your gifts co-workers? How do you let people know what your gifts entail, and how they work? And will you alienate yourself?

On TV Sunday, I have NCIS: Los Angeles "The Monster":

While investigating a missing person’s case, the team uncovers a killer who puts on shows for high-paying voyeurs. Also, Mosley assigns Callen as her partner on a joint ATF mission to apprehend someone from her past
I'm including the sneak peek because the cinematography is amazing and the scene is setting up for what looks like an interesting episode.

This being Easter weekend, there are some specials to watch. First, an annual showing, on Saturday night this year, The Ten Commandments.

Lordy, I love her in this movie.

And .... my all-time favorite musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, on Sunday night.  A live television production.

Woot! We'll see how they do. I'm not sure about the casting.

Tonight we have Strike Back to watch.

The team learns about Colonel Donovan's involvement in Project Tenebrae. Waves of PMC soldiers trying to recapture Idrisi have a running, driving, and shooting battle with Section 20. Donovan and Lowry have another face to face encounter.
Looks like this is the episode is the one with Scott and Stonebridge returning!

Otherwise, I have a lot of reading to do. Finish the Griffith ARC, finish the St. James book, and I got notified of another ARC from Netgalley!

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Easter. I leave you with a bit of humor from Monty Python's Life of Brian:

Procrastinators unite!

I didn't read as much as I intended to last night. Steve got home rather early from the gun range -- he moves them right along so he can get home, a move I applaud. So he was home a little after 7. So I had the TV on and between Street Outlaws No Prep Racing and Law and Order, I watched more than I read.

I do! And I'm 22 percent into the Griffiths book!

Tonight, I have Arrow "The Thanatos Guild":

Nyssa Al Ghul returns to Star City to warn Thea that a group of renegade League of Assassins members are planning to attack her. This group, led by Athena, is intent on finding a mysterious box that Malcolm left behind and will stop at nothing to get it. Nyssa helps Oliver come to a life-changing realization.

Have a great day

Working hard or hardly working?

Half way through the week.

And my cold is lingering.

Nothing really on TV tonight except maybe Law and Order reruns.

However, I will probably just read, because I just got an advanced reading copy via Netgalley.

About to start THE DARK ANGEL by Elly Griffiths. 10th of 10 in series featuring Dr. Ruth Galloway, a forensic archaeologist, and Harry Nelson, a detective chief inspector, in the Saltmarsh area near Norfolk, England.

It’s not every day that you’re summoned to the Italian countryside on business, so when archaeologist Angelo Morelli asks for Ruth Galloway’s help identifying bones found in the tiny hilltop town of Fontana Liri, she jumps at the chance to go, bringing her daughter along with her for a working vacation. Upon arriving, she begins to hear murmurs of Fontana Liri’s strong resistance movement during World War II and senses the townspeople are dancing around a deeply buried secret. But how could that be connected to the ancient remains she’s been studying? Ruth is just beginning to get her footing in the dig when she’s thrown off-guard by the appearance of DCI Nelson. And when Ruth’s findings lead them to a modern-day murder, their holidays are both turned upside down, and they race to find out what darkness is lurking in this seemingly picturesque town.

Publishing May 2018; 352 pages.

Steve has the gun range tonight so I don't have to feed him. Will get my usual Chinese food delivered for dinner? Maybe. Dinner, reading, bed.

Sound like a lovely evening.

Have a great day

Every month, right?

I'm slowly getting caught up on the stuff that piled up on my desk while I was away from work. Today is bill paying day.

Yeah, not fun.

Nothing on TV for me tonight.

But really, that's ok. We'll stare at something while having dinner. And then I can read. I'm getting close to done on the relic one which is good because I feel ready to read something else.

My plan is to get things finished this weekend because next Tuesday is the new C.S. Harris.

Woot!

Have a good day

Busy busy busy

We're getting closer to the end of the remodel. Maybe by next week.

They may be starting the flooring today but definitely tomorrow. The tile in the bathroom looks good; they have to finish and grout it also today I think they said. Woot!

Tonight I have Scorpion, "Foul Balls":

Team Scorpion must use their high IQs to win a softball game when the homeland director challenges, with all of their future government contracts on the line. Also, Walter's secret night out with Florence puts Toby and Happy on edge

Still reading the same things but making progress in them all.

Gotta keep moving. Have a great day

End of the work week ....

Made it! Woot!

So I got home last night and they hadn't done ANY of the flooring or tiling.

They had prepped for the tiling and moved some of the materials into the house. We'll see how much they've done when I get home tonight.

I don't really have many plans for the weekend. I was able to work full days the whole week but I'm tired and probably still recovering from the pneumonia crap. I was more sinus-y today. I'm hoping to sleep a lot tomorrow.

TV-wise, the usual. On Sunday I will have NCIS: Los Angeles "Warrior of Peace":

Callen pursues every alternative when the Diplomatic Security Service apprehends his father, Nikita Aleksandr Reznikov, as part of an exchange for two American photographers being held hostage in Iran...
Looks like we'll have Arkady (yay!), Anna (die, Anna, die), and the funny Russian guy (can't think of his name right now) who has a crush on Deeks. THAT should be fun.

On Sunday afternoon, even though I don't have my singing voice back, my friend would like me to go to music practice. I haven't been in several weeks due to circumstances and illness. I don't know yet if I'll go. I'll keep it as an option.

Yes, ultimately. And how I feel at the time.

Have a good weekend. (Me at 5:00 on a Friday)

Getting through the week ....

I am hearing that today the flooring and tiling guys were supposed to be showing up.

Please make it be so.

So I'll see when I get home.

Nothing on TV tonight; Arrow is apparently repeating.

So we'll watch some garbage TV during dinner (whatever that will be) and then I'll hopefully read and then sleep like a perfect baby.

Have a good one

Halfway there

Wednesday. Steve has the gun range tonight so I don't have to feed him. I will probably order Chinese food for dinner (num).  I don't have anything on TV so I will read. So much to read.

Sorry, that's about it for today; I gotta get back to work (being gone a week and two days will stack up). Have a great day

Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
