This will be me

Yay! I'll have music night tomorrow but otherwise the usual weekend stuff.

Sunday ..... NCIS LOS ANGELES is back from hiatus!!!! Season 10 premiere!!

"To Live and Die in Mexico":

Gravely injured and unable to communicate with the team in the U.S., Callen, Sam and Kensi, with an unconscious Deeks in tow, search for a safe way home as a cartel boss places a “dead or alive” bounty on their heads. Also, Mosely and retired Navy Admiral Hollace Kilbride beseech their contacts in Mexico and D.C. for assistance with their missing colleagues.

I'm SO freakin' happy.

Have a good weekend

I can't even

Today's hearings of Judge Kavanaugh are farce. This, however, is magnificent:

Tonight on TV I only have Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Making the Team to watch.

Have a good day

Second day

Receptionist out again today. Back on the front desk duties.

Nothing on TV for me tonight. Steve has the gun range. I hope to read and/or work on the book.

Have a good day

On the front desk today

Our receptionist called in sick so I don't have much time.

Manifest was interesting last night. I may continue it. We'll see. Tonight I have the season 3 premiere of This Is Us. "Nine Bucks":

Randall, Kate and Kevin find themselves on new paths as they each celebrate their 38th birthday.
And they've been teasing that we get more of Jack and Rebecca's night they met.

There's a premiere of a medical show after that that I kinda sorta like the lead actor but I don't know if it's worth staying up to 10:00 for. New Amsterdam. "A new medical director breaks the rules to heal the system at America's oldest public hospital."

But it repeats on Friday so not a big deal to miss it tonight.

Have a good day

Maybe if I start a Monday with a better attitude ....

Tonight marks the beginning of the new Fall TV season. I don't officially have a show to watch but there is one that sounds interesting. Don't know if I'll stay up to watch it because it starts at 9 and it will repeat at 7 on Friday. Manifest.

"Pilot":
Returning to New York from a family vacation in Jamaica, the Stone family is separated when adult siblings Michaela and Ben, along with Ben's gravely ill son Cal are bumped to a later flight, while Ben's wife, daughter and parents fly ahead. When that later flight lands, the passengers are bewildered to discover that five and a half years have gone by. They attempt to reconnect with the loved ones who mourned their passing and moved on long ago, and try to make sense of a mystifying phenomenon steering them to act in ways they don't understand.

Cool concept but will it carry through a season? And it stars an actor I like, Josh Dallas who was Prince Charming on Once Upon a Time.

Otherwise we have the Steelers game to watch. Cross your fingers for a good result for the sake of peace in the household.

I'm about halfway through the new Galbraith book. Yah, 'tis good.

The weekend wasn't very productive. I wasn't feeling well. Mostly better today. I didn't work on my book but I did have a zinger of a plot idea today.

Have a good rest of your day.

Much love,

Well, the weekend took its time, dinnit.

Whatever I did to fend off the cold ... has worked.

It hasn't progressed and may be almost gone. Tired and a little headachy.

Tonight we have Battlebots and Live PD on TV to watch.

This weekend I don't have any special plans other than to get a haircut. The same old stuff otherwise.

Have a good weekend

A bug has gotten me. A cold. It developed rapidly overnight. I think I got it from the hospital I visited yesterday when I went to my dermatologist.

So I'm going to spend the afternoon at home getting some sleep and try to head this thing off from going full bloom.

Tonight on TV, I've got Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team. That's it. Otherwise, reading or watching Great British Baking Show.

Have a good day

We've all said that, right? Right?

Nearly forgot to do this. Busy kind of day.

Steve has the gun range though it is a dark cooler afternoon/evening. It's in the 50s so it should be ok. Last night we went to dinner with Cousin Mikey and friends at Red Robin. It was good and good to see people, but I definitely need to be a hermit tonight.

Plus, I'm rather tired. So there it is. I mentioned to my sister about The Great British Baking Show, how good it is. She texted me last night that I was an evil person because she's gotten hooked on it, too. Bwa hahaha! My work is done.

Thing is, though, I am also hopelessly hooked so we're in the same boat.

Have a good day

I'm not coming out

It's been a trying afternoon.

A customer put a stop payment on a check we deposited yesterday and we get dinged with the penalty fee. And the customer hung up on me. His ass is going to collection. And the invoice itself is less than $100. How stupid.

I'm feeling better but now I'm cranky. Adding to it, our receptionist keeps making mistakes and even though I coach her on how to do her job better and make of all her mistakes, I have to say it over and over. We're human, we make mistakes, but she doesn't learn or remember or something.

Steve's cousin Mikey is in town and wants to go to dinner this week. It will have to be either tonight or Thursday.

Currently reading LETHAL WHITE by Robert Galbraith. 4th of 4 in series featuring Cormoran Strike, a private detective, and his secretary Robin Ellacott, in London.

When Billy, a troubled young man, comes to private eye Cormoran Strike’s office to ask for his help investigating a crime he thinks he witnessed as a child, Strike is left deeply unsettled. While Billy is obviously mentally distressed, and cannot remember many concrete details, there is something sincere about him and his story. But before Strike can question him further, Billy bolts from his office in a panic. Trying to get to the bottom of Billy’s story, Strike and Robin Ellacott—once his assistant, now a partner in the agency—set off on a twisting trail that leads them through the backstreets of London, into a secretive inner sanctum within Parliament, and to a beautiful but sinister manor house deep in the countryside. And during this labyrinthine investigation, Strike’s own life is far from straightforward: his newfound fame as a private eye means he can no longer operate behind the scenes as he once did. Plus, his relationship with his former assistant is more fraught than it ever has been—Robin is now invaluable to Strike in the business, but their personal relationship is much, much trickier than that.

Monday again.

Monday.

Currently reading LEVERAGE IN DEATH by JD Robb. 47th of 47 in series featuring Eve Dallas, a homicide lieutenant in futuristic New York City.

For the airline executives finalizing a merger that would make news in the business world, the nine a.m. meeting would be a major milestone. But after marketing VP Paul Rogan walked into the plush conference room, strapped with explosives, the headlines told of death and destruction instead. The NYPSD’s Eve Dallas confirms that Rogan was cruelly coerced by two masked men holding his family hostage. His motive was saving his wife and daughter—but what was the motive of the masked men? Despite the chaos and bad publicity, blowing up one meeting isn’t going to put the brakes on the merger. All it’s accomplished is shattering a lot of innocent lives. Now, with the help of her billionaire husband Roarke, Eve must untangle the reason for an inexplicable act of terror, look at suspects inside and outside both corporations, and determine whether the root of this crime lies in simple sabotage, or something far more complex and twisted.
