Don't we all

Nothing on TV for me tonight. It's the summer doldrums.

I've landed on a book...

Currently re-reading NAKED IN DEATH by JD Robb. 1st of 45 in series featuring Eve Dallas, a homicide lieutenant in futuristic New York City.

It is 2058, New York City. Eve Dallas is a New York police lieutenant hunting for a ruthless killer. In over ten years on the force, she's seen it all—and knows her survival depends on her instincts. And she's going against every warning telling her not to get involved with Roarke, an Irish billionaire—and a suspect in Eve's murder investigation.

Published in 1995, 320 pages. I'm re-reading for a discussion next month on 4MA. Since I chose the series, I'd better participate. Plus, I first read this book when it first came out in 1995 so it's been a while. I read it before it was known that the author was Nora Roberts.

No, but it's been 22 years. Wow. And we're lucky enough that she writes two books a year, hence the million and 45 books in the series. And maybe this will get me out of my reading slump. Doubt it, because I'm still fangirling on Scorpion.

Yeah, in particular Toby and Happy.

Otherwise, I'm taking advantage of my again-found splurge on my story. Working on floor plans and org chart.

Have a great day

Did you see what day it is?

Starting all over again.

I am happy to say I didn't go anywhere this weekend, except Friday night. I stayed home both days.

I got some cleaning done which is good. I worked a wee bit on my story idea, made some progress in world building. I finished watching the third and most recent season of Scorpion. Aaaaannnd I'm starting over with season one to pick up things I missed the first time.

That's what it's like when I'm in the middle of an obsession. I have no control. Fan-girling.

Nothing on TV for me tonight. Nothing chosen for reading yet.

It's another hot in-the-90s day out there. Yuck. And it's still only July.

Have a good one

I just started season 3 of Scorpion. As you can see, I'm enjoying it, particularly the relationship between Toby and Happy.

I'm happy to say that I don't have anything going on this weekend other than circle tonight. My Sunday class was cancelled for this one time. So I'll be able to do some cleaning, computering, napping and watching Game of Thrones live.

Daenerys has a surprise visitor; Jon faces a revolt; Tyrion draws up plans to conquer Westeros
Books. Yeah. Not there yet.

Exactly. I don't know. Maybe see the binge mentioned above.

I ask myself that a lot. Have a good weekend

Almost to the weekend

I still haven't chosen a fiction book to read. I may have narrowed it down to handful of options.

I have, however, still been binge-watching Scorpion. I'm on episode 13 of 24 of Season 2 of 3.

Nothing on TV tonight for me. I'll be doing the usual.

Gotta go. Have a great day!

Halfway through the week ... I am pleased

Tonight I could watch Broadchurch, episode 4.

I need to meditate tonight. I didn't get a chance to do it last night.

Hey, I haven't done a Sneek-a-Deeks in a while ....

Haven't picked a book yet. Still binge watching Scorpion. In season 2.

Have a good day

Much love,

Oh maybe a LITTLE more

I would like to tell you about a book I'm reading but I haven't chosen what's next yet.

I have to get groceries after work so the dogs can have food ... and the humans.

Nothing on TV for me so I'll meditate, watch some more Scorpion. I'm about to go into season 2.

Oh! I forgot to mention they've picked the new Doctor!

I've liked this actress from Broadchurch, Jodie Whitaker, and she'll make a great Doctor ... as long she can run.

Which she can. This is the first female Doctor Who, of course, but it allows to show to stay within canon because they've always said there were only twelve doctors (same Doctor but 12 regenerations of him to account for an actor wanting to leave the role). Well, this will be the 13th since 1963 BUT you could say 12 MALE Doctors and now the 13th, a female, starts over the count.

I will check it out when it starts up next year with her. However, my heart will always be with Ten.

Makes me want to do another binge watch re-watch of it. These episodes are SO good. See you around ....

Much love,

Monday.... on the phones

Super busy weekend with classes so not much else got done.

 But all were enjoyable.

The season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones was on last night, therefore I missed it but I can catch a rerun on HBO tonight. "Dragonstone":

Jon organizes the defense of the North; Cersei seeks to even the odds; and Daenerys comes home

I'm still binging on Scorpion. About episode 15-ish.

Trying to finish a book I left dangling last year by Charles Todd. I've only got about 10-15% left but I keep picking it up and putting it back down again though I usually really love this author.  For me for some reason, it's the book that doesn't end.

Gotta go. Have a great day

Front desk duties

Receptionist on vacation today and Monday. Fun times.

Not doing Circle tonight because of classes this weekend, etc. so tonight we'll watch some Live PD and have dinner and hang out with the boys.

I think I'm on about episode 10 of my season 1 Scorpion binge watch.

I finished the Victoria Thompson book. I need to finish the Carey book but I also need to start a fiction one too.

Nothing has changed -- lots and lots from which to choose.

It's damn hot again. Yesterday saw 105 in some places as I was driving home. Settled on 102 by the time I got there. And the same for the next several days.

Unfortunately Steve will be out in it; he has a tournament to run again tomorrow. Big Sky State Games.

Indeed. But I got him one of those snap-it and it's cold towels to try to help out a little. I'm hoping the class I'm at tomorrow afternoon has strong enough AC to handle 20 people plus instructor.

Have a good weekend

Much love,
