Fine. I'm going to take MYSELF home

 TGIF

I'm glad the week is over. And I hate having that attitude. But work has been stressful. Coda's situation has been stressful. I'm ready for a break.

At this point I'm still planning to go to the coffee shop tomorrow for bead group.

I still need to make one more piece of jewelry for April's found objects. But we'll see how it goes. Otherwise, just a lot of keeping Coda quiet. Lots of naps.

 Have a good weekend

I've had it. I'm snookered.

Thursday. Sorry, I ran out of day yesterday.

  The 100 Day Project

Day 73 (and April found object):

I didn't work on anything last night. Steve had the gun range but I just needed to sit and watch videos on YouTube. Didn't even read.

I've got this; I can do anything thrown at me ... I just need some "me" time. Some quiet time; down time. I need there to be peace back in my world.

It was definitely the right decision to take the pressure of The 100 Day Project off. I did very well for 60 days so there's that.

I took Coda for follow up at the vet this afternoon (side note, he was just going bonkers for some reason, going in all directions... adding to the stress). I was a little worried about the bottom portion of his stitches. The vet was very nice. Took out some stitches that were ready to come out. Put in staples where they had gotten loosened and gave me some ointment. She suggested that he continue to be monitored through next week so the boys will be coming to work again.

Tonight nothing on TV so we'll probably watch hockey or something. I'm hoping to make tacos if the grocery delivery person gets the job done for me. Thank goodness it's available. I haven't been able to stop to get groceries with the boys in the vehicle and too tired to do it at night. When I'm home; I'm home.

Have a good day

Why is it only Tuesday?

 Tuesday.

The 100 Day Project:

Day 72 (and April found object):

I am teaching myself to pace myself. Here's the design so far I played with last night.

Tonight we have The Curse of Oak Island to watch. I also have a live stream of Randee. I'm not sure what we're having for dinner, maybe chicken. But I'll have to have it ordered and delivered.

Coda continues to do better and I continue to not get as freaked out. I don't think, however, that I'll go to beading at lunch tomorrow. Both dogs don't like to have me out of their sight and not really fair to receptionist to babysit a special needs kind of kid.

But I think it will be ok for Saturday at home with Steve there. Maybe.

Have a good day

Oh brother, another work week begins

Monday.

The boys are at work again this week. Coda did well this weekend -- stayed quiet, no peeing issues. However, we are having peeing issues today. I've already gone through a couple belly bands and he's having squirting issues before I can get a new one on. Meds? Excitement?

 The 100 Day Project:

Day 70 (and April Found Object):

Fringe bracelet. Took a while to do. Perhaps I'm getting back into making pieces now that Coda is getting better. We'll see. I like the being creative with no pressure to complete thing.

Day 71 (and April Found Object):

I don't care for this bracelet. I'm not a fan of turquoise whatsoever. The brown beads are found objects -- I don't like those either. But it's done.

I'm also currently reading WORKING WITH WINSTON by Cita Stelzer. Nonfiction.

All politicians adopt a public persona that they believe contributes to electoral success. Though they might reflect the character of the politician, they reveal only a part of the man. What we know less about are the characteristics that Winston Churchill revealed when he was out of the public eye. Much has been written about Churchill, and of the important world leaders, politicians, high-ranking military personnel with whom he interacted.  But Churchill also required a vast staff to maintain the intense pace at which he worked. When Churchill strode the world stage, the secretarial and support staff positions were inevitably filled by women.  Though extraordinarily talented and valuable to Churchill and his work, these women remain unheralded. He was not an easy employer. He was intimidating, with never-ending demands who would impose his relentless and demanding schedules on those around him.  And yet these women were devoted to him, though there were times in his political career in which he was decidedly unpopular.  Many reflect upon their years working for him as the best years of their lives. Intelligent and hard-working, these women were far from sycophants.  Just as Churchill was no ordinary Prime Minister, these women were not ordinary secretaries. Indeed, in today’s terms their titles would be much grander, as their work encompassed ultra-secret documents and decrypting and reading enemy codes. A treasure trove of insight and research, Working with Winston reveals the man behind the statesman and as well as brings long-overdue recognition to the “hidden army” that, like Churchill, was never off-duty.

Published 2019;  393 pages.

Tonight we have Street Outlaws to watch. We're having a fend-for-yourself thing for dinner. I would like to do another found object piece.

 Have a good day

It's ok, I'm not crazy ...yet

 TGIF

Coda's home so I'm back on the roller coaster of thinking things are okay but maybe they're not I just don't know stress.

 No plans for the weekend.

Have a good weekend

Hang in there, baby, Friday's coming

 Thursday

Coda will be coming home tonight. I'm still a little afraid that I can't be watching him all the time and that he might try to do something that will compromise his incision stitches. But I kinda felt pressure from the vet. Perhaps they need the space.

It will. It will have to be. We'll adapt. He'll adapt. He's alive and smiley.

The 100 Day Project. I still don't have anything to show. I worked a little bit on the fringe bracelet. I'm hoping to add a fourth pass on it to put in some of the small pearl beads that were in the found objects. Then it will be done.

Had two interviews set up for the sales person this week ... two no shows.

Nothing on TV. Name of the game tonight is keep Coda quiet and laying pretty much on the floor unless I'm there to help him with the sling onto a couch.

They'll both have to come to work tomorrow.

Have a good day

I refuse to believe it's only Wednesday

 Yep, Wednesday.

I only have a few minutes left of finishing the fringe bracelet ... if I go with only three passes on it like the YouTube instructions say. I'm contemplating doing a fourth pass through with the tiny pearls I have left and are part of the found objects. I think the foundation beads will take a fourth pass through them. I'm just thinking it would look even fuller.

I visited Coda at lunch today. He's looking very very good. It was a little shocking at first because the area remaining is all shaved. But he's always such a smiley attitude. And maybe the fentanyl patch was helping that.

There was pressure to take him home today but my only concern is that at some point in these early days I won't be watching and he'll try to jump up on a couch -- even if we have it blocked -- and come down wrongly and rip things open. I would prefer to have some extra time of healing. And there's absolutely no way I can stay home with him during the week. And I feel sometimes like a bad pet mom.

The veterinarian makes me feel that way. The attendants don't. We like them better. And we probably should have done this a couple years ago.

Steve has the gun range tonight. Ryker and I will hang out together.

Have a good day

 Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
