Come to work, PK!

The 100 Day Project

Day 45:

The bottom strand are two strands together from JoAnne's. The white beads are mother of pearl -- I love those. I don't know if I'll keep this one as is. It's okay but doesn't blow my socks off.

I think I'll be playing with carnelian beads this evening. Not sure yet that will come together with other things but that's where I'm starting.

Steve's got the gun range tonight so just have to figure out dinner for myself. I'll feed the boys and me and then play with beads, read, and go to bed.

Have a good day

Dreaming of owning a tiki bar somewhere away from people ... again

The 100 Day Project

Day 44:

This is made of aqua terra jasper and ruby jade. I'll have to go back and re-string it some day. It's a little tight.

Tonight we have The Curse of Oak Island to watch. I started to make the project for Day 45 at lunch so all I have to do is the finishing on it. I have live Thunderhorses tonight and it's the last bingo night.

I didn't sleep very well last night. It was so warm yesterday (nearly 80) so the house was warm. And the boys restless/in and out. And so forth. Maybe tonight will be better.

Have a good day

Bluebird of Not Happy...

 Monday

The 100 Day Project:

 Day 41:

This was supposed to be a necklace but became a bracelet. I'll have to do tweaking on it. The beads are from JoAnnes.

Day 42:

I was so tired on Saturday I almost didn't do a project. Briefly, I just wanted to count the bead group at the coffee shop as my being creative. But I felt guilty knowing it wasn't being creative - it was following a pattern. So I did one of the quickies I had in my stash options. A Flintstones necklace. These beads are huge but light.

 Day 43:

Also counts as a found object for March. Formerly known as a tassel. And it is already spoken for -- a friend wants to buy it.

Speaking of Found Objects Challenge for March, I turned my in.

And these are the found objects marked on the pieces:

And on the elephant tapestry -- for those keeping track -- that I worked on at the coffee shop on Saturday, I believe I'm about to start row 18 of 316.

Currently reading GENTLEMAN JOLE AND THE RED QUEEN by Lois McMaster Bujold. 16th (and last! Sad!) of 16 in the Miles Vorkosigan SFF series).

Three years after her famous husband’s death, Cordelia Vorkosigan, widowed Vicereine of Sergyar, stands ready to spin her life in a new direction. Oliver Jole, Admiral, Sergyar Fleet, finds himself caught up in her web of plans in ways he’d never imagined, bringing him to an unexpected crossroads in his career. Meanwhile, Miles Vorkosigan, one of Emperor Gregor’s key investigators, this time dispatches himself on a mission of inquiry, into a mystery he never anticipated – his own mother. Plans, wills, and expectations collide in this sparkling science-fiction social comedy, as the impact of galactic technology on the range of the possible changes all the old rules, and Miles learns that not only is the future not what he expects, neither is the past.

Published 2016; 290 pages.

Tonight, I'm going to try a new recipe. This is a riff on the Hobo packet I do cooking hamburger in a foil. I'm going to try cube steak, mushrooms, and Yukon gold potatoes. Keep your fingers crossed. We'll be watching Street Outlaws during dinner. I have no idea what I'm making for Day 44.

Have a good day

See you on Monday

 TGIF

The 100 Day Project:

Day 40:

I was trying to work on a Found Object project last night and it just wasn't coming together. So I panicked and decided to make a simple necklace. Sometimes, you just want to wear something clean and simple. So there.

I'll be going to the coffee shop tomorrow to meet up with the beading buddies. I hadn't wanted to but Ann won't be there and Jim didn't want to potentially be the only one.

The beading buddies also put out a text today that some of them were interested in participating in a craft show at the mall on April 15th. They want to share on the cost of the table, etc., have a couple people at a table, blah blah blah. I told them I can't do it this time.

It's short notice.

I don't have anything priced.

I don't have any kind of display set up.

With the time I have available to me, I can't take my eyes off The 100 Day Project goal.

I'm planning on opening an Etsy store at the end of the 100 days.

No other plans for the weekend other than the usual beading, reading, napping, etc.

Have a good weekend

Need some space and solitude

The 100 Day Project

 Day 39:

Selenite beads and Swarovski crystals in Monet's Garden mix. This is a very close up photo -- the crystals aren't that big.

Tonight we have BattleBots to watch. I'll pick up a Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner. I don't know yet what I'll be making tonight for Day 40. Just gotta keep it going and be creative for 60 more times!

 Have a good day
