Trick or ... robbery?

Last night's NCIS: Los Angeles was good.

The best scenes were Deeks and Kensi dealing with Kensi's slow recovery. Touching. Realistic. Difficult.

It's Halloween today.

Nothing on TV for me tonight. I think we're handing out candy. Per usual, I'll be on door duty and Steve will hold the dogs. I dressed as a black cat today.

I have ears that twitch -- Coda was growling at me when I got them working last night. I also have a tail that twitches but I didn't put batteries in it because my pants were already falling down.

Will start a new book tomorrow. More info then.

On the front desk today

On the front desk all day; receptionist called in sick.

Made pate and chili last night. Good.

Have The Walking Dead and NCIS: Los Angeles on Sunday. Woot!

Have to stop by a book signing tonight for a friend after a long day without any breaks. Not really in the mood. But I'll do it.

(Sorry, no time to take the time to find funny things today.)

Cleaning tomorrow.

Have to find my next read.

Have a good weekend.

Amost there ....

Really not a whole lot to talk about today....

Tough crowd. ooohhhkay.

Lots going on politically but I won't talk about that here. You can go to my Facebook page for all the corruption updates.

I finished the Mendez book. Now I'm back to FILTHY RICH. What a disgusting pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is. Nothing to laugh about there. But it's research.

Nothing is on TV for me, so I'm going to make some pate, maybe tonight. Liver is a superfood and nature's multivitamin. While I don't think I can eat it as a steak, I'm going to try pate.

Wish me luck.

So. Well then.

So, have a lovely day. See? Nothing going on.

Wha... ?! It's only Wednesday?

I was talking to Steve yesterday about our future and issues with his mom's estate and so forth. I told him I couldn't rescue him from the upcoming battles but I was working on a book project. He said he'd been waiting 20 years for that. I said I didn't know who the "Big Bad Guy" was until recently. You can't write a book without knowing who the Big Bad Guy is. But now I know.

Tonight I have Arrow "Penance":

Oliver and Lyla team up on a secret mission for Diggle. Felicity finds out and disapproves of the plan and opts to stay behind. When Tobias Church launches a deadly assault against the city, Felicity must decide if she wants to send the recruits out sans the Green Arrow.

Otherwise, Steve has shooting tonight. I'm still reading Anthony Mendez's book. I'm up to the point where he did the Argo exfiltration of  6 of the Iran hostages.

It was 41 this morning while walking the dogs and is supposed to get to 73 today. Indian summer. Actually, it looks like fairly nice weather for the next ten days. I would've put money on us getting snow by my birthday because it always does.

But it's looking like maybe not this year.

Have a great day

I don't want to play anymore

What a tiring day. And it's only Tuesday.

I think the bug that's going around it trying to get me. I feel headachy sometimes and other ... functions. So, big surprise, I'm going to read and the get some sleep.

Things that are on TV can be skipped. Not a big deal.

That's it. That's all I've got today.

Oh come on! It's the end of day, the clock is ticking, and I'm tired!

Have a good evening

Can't unsee it

Wow, the season premiere of The Walking Dead was traumatizing. Really gruesome.

TWO deaths. Really bad deaths. Why do I watch it?  I didn't watch the show in the first season though Steve did. It actually isn't about zombies. It's about how people deal with and survive a catastrophic event. Are you a good person or not? What if you encounter people who are not? What if the only way to live was to be a bad person? What would you do to live or those you love to live? And this show doesn't sugar coat it. It's ugly and unfair.

Soooooo, here we are and Monday looks rather good in comparison.

I don't really have anything on TV tonight. Conviction at 9 but I won't stay up for it. I'll watch it tomorrow via Amazon Instant Video.

I worked a bit on my project. I did some cleaning. Made a vat of soup. I started a book from the digital library. I may stay with it, I may not.

BRIMSTONE by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. 5th of 16 in series featuring Aloysius Pendergast, an FBI special agent.

Art critic Jeremy Grove is found dead, his face frozen in a mask of terror. His body temperature is grotesquely high; he is discovered in a room barricaded from the inside; the smell of brimstone is everywhere . . . and the unmistakable imprint of a claw is burned into the wall. As more bodies are discovered with an identical manner of death, the world begins to wonder if the Devil has come to collect his due.
Published in 2004, it has 696 pages.  Kinda appropriate for Halloween coming up.

Have a great day

It's the weekend! With both hands .... er, paws.

Television on Sunday.

The Walking Dead season premiere. It's going to be a tough one. We left last season with a cliff hanger ... who of our eleven people did Negan kill with his baseball bat?

There is no question that it happened. It happened. In the graphic novel, it was Glenn who has been on the show since the first episode of the first season. I'm predicting it will be him on Sunday. It will be the most tragic -- he and Maggie have a baby on the way and he is a beloved character. We'll see.

Here's the official info:  "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be"
Negan's actions will haunt the surviving members of Rick's group forever.

At the VERY SAME DAMN TIME is NCIS: Los Angeles. Of course. One of my two favorite shows. The same time. "Ghost Gun"
A navy machinist with high security clearance is murdered on the roof of a downtown high-rise building. Anna Kolcheck partners with Callen to investigate. Meanwhile, Sam assists Hetty in the on-going mole probe.
Here's a sneak peak with Deeks and his mom (Kensi is still in a coma):

We don't like Anna. We want Anna to go away.

Ahem. Luckily, I have the season purchased on Amazon Instant Video so I will watch that and Poldark (season also purchased) on Monday.

Poldark season 2 episode 4:
George backs Poldark into a corner; the law targets free traders; Caroline decides between Unwin and Dwight; and Francis goes missing.

Otherwise I have cleaning to do since I didn't get to do any last weekend with the funeral and so forth. It's been a long week and a half with not a lot of down time so I'm hoping to relax and have some time to myself.

Please everyone have a safe and lovely weekend.

Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
