Cone of shame

Poor Ryker is going to have to wear the cone of shame for at least a week.

He's home after staying one night at the vet to recover from mouth surgery. He seems to be doing mostly ok. A bit loopy from the drugs.

Steve has the gun range tonight. I'll be home with the boys.

Currently reading PROXIMITY by Jem Tugwell. 1st of 2 in iMe series.

You can’t get away with anything. Least of all murder. DI Clive Lussac has forgotten how to do his job. Ten years of embedded technology – ‘iMe’ – has led to complete control and the eradication of crime. Then the impossible happens. A body is found, and the killer is untraceable. With new partner Zoe Jordan, Clive must re-sharpen his detective skills and find the killer without technology, before time runs out for the next victim…
Published 2019; 300 pages. Sort of a mix between THE LAST POLICEMAN by Ben Winters and the movie Demolition Man.

Have a good day

Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
