I made it through the whole day

 Tuesday

Tonight we have Curse of Oak Island to watch.

At the same time,  I also have live streaming of Randee (Found Objects lady). Tonight is the monthly bingo.

I don't know why she does it. She just likes to do it. And I like to support her business. The bingo cards are sent when you make purchases from her store. I make purchases from her store.

Currently reading A COUNTERFEIT SUITOR by Darcie Wilde. 5th of 5 in series featuring Rosalind Thorne, a minor heiress and "useful" woman in regency London.

It is every mama’s dearest wish that her daughter marries well. But how to ensure that a seemingly earnest suitor is not merely a fortune hunter? Rosalind is involved in just such a case, discreetly investigating a client’s prospective son-in-law, when she is drawn into another predicament shockingly close to home. Rosalind’s estranged father, Sir Reginald Thorne—a drunkard and forger—has fallen into the hands of the vicious scoundrel Russell Fullerton. Angered by her interference in his blackmail schemes, Fullerton intends to unleash Sir Reginald on society and ruin Rosalind. Before Rosalind’s enemy can act, Sir Reginald is found murdered—and Fullerton is arrested for the crime. He protests his innocence, and Rosalind reluctantly agrees to uncover the truth, suspecting that this mystery may be linked to her other, ongoing cases. Aided by her sister, Charlotte, and sundry friends and associates—including handsome Bow Street Runner Adam Harkness—Rosalind sets to work. But with political espionage and Napoleon loyalists in the mix, there may be more sinister motives, and far higher stakes, than she ever imagined...

Outraged, I tell you!

  Monday. Here we are again.

It was a nice four days off, I have to say. Mostly relaxed. Worked on some Found Objects jewelry - three necklaces so far. Went to the last day of the bead shop on Saturday. Hung out with the boys. Watched the new James Bond movie (ok). Watched a Hallmark Christmas movie. Read. Had a nice Thanksgiving dinner and then left overs. Napped.

Currently reading AGAINST ALL ENEMIES by John G. Hemry. 4th and last in JAG in Space series.

After a long tour as legal officer aboard the starship USS Michaelson, Paul Sinclair is anticipating shore duty. Too bad it’s cancelled when a group of religious fanatics hijack a freighter and invade an asteroid. Fearing they could threaten the earth with asteroid debris, starships from several countries converge on the scene. But their mission turns deadly when the South Asian Alliance opens fire on the asteroid. After the smoke clears, Paul suspects the Michaelson’s rules of engagement have been compromised—suspicions that are confirmed when NCIS asks him to work covertly as a spy. Someone onboard the Michaelson is selling secrets, and to uncover the traitor, Paul must walk the dangerous line between duty and honor…

Woooooooot! Let the four day weekend begin!

Wednesday. Beginning of a four day weekend. Happy dance!

Tonight, Steve has the gun range. Casablanca is on TCM. I love that movie. I may watch it again.

Highlights for the coming days:

Thanksgiving. Keeping it low key and relaxed.

Bead shop closes on Saturday for good. I'll be there that afternoon.

I need to work on my Found Objects jewelry. Big time. And gifts.

We may rent the recent James Bond movie (via streaming on Amazon) and watch that tomorrow instead of football.

It's been 15 years since he started the job (top photo). He did five movies. At the very beginning, I remember thinking I'd never like a blond Bond. Gotta say, he may be my favorite. Yes, even more than Pierce.

Otherwise: Napping, reading, beading, binge-ing, etc.

 Happy Thanksgiving!

Have a good weekend

Is the glass half full or half empty

Either way, it's still a glass. Half way through the week.

I didn't accomplish much in the way of beading or reading last night. I need to create the habit of sitting down and beading. I just have SO MANY projects.

We'll watch Curse of Oak Island tonight. I'm not sure what to make for dinner.

 Gotta get some work done.

Have a good day

Camoflage

 Monday

The weekend was pretty ok. I went to the bead store and worked up designs from my found object. Six ideas and I haven't even touched the blue seed beads yet.

So we'll see how it goes.

It's a three day week. Good things and bad things, mixed blessings. On the good side, we had all our installers back today. On the not good side, trying to schedule it all.

Nothing much on TV except we'll watch Antique Roadshow during dinner. I really should do some beading.

 Have a good day

Yeppers

 TGIF.

Hearing the verdict:

 Thank God.

The party last night was pretty good. My dip worked out ok. Here's a photo of the recipe I used:

We made it through the week with only one tech. And with some extremely grumpy people. I have some beer left from the dip ... I think I'll have it with tomato juice tonight. Steve is picking up dinner. I'm going to nap in the morning as much as possible. And I'm going to the bead shop in the afternoon because it closes next Saturday for good.

New episode of Great British Baking Show. Will watch the last episode of Making the Team. And there are various other shows Steve and I need to sit down and watch this weekend.

Have a good weekend

looking toward the weekend

Sorry, ran out of day. I've got to run home after work to take care of the boys and then make some Beer Cheese Pretzel dip to take to a surprise party for the owner of Buy the Bead.

Have a good day

It's been breezy here lately

 Wednesday

I think I may be re-reading THE APOTHECARY ROSE by Candace Robb. 1st of 13 in series featuring Owen Archer, a spy for the Archbishop, in medieval York.

It is Christmastide, 1363, and two suspicious deaths in the infirmary of St. Mary’s Abbey catch the attention of the powerful John Thoresby, Lord Chancellor of England and Archbishop of York. One victim is a pilgrim, while the second is Thoresby’s ne’er-do-well ward, both apparently poisoned by a physic supplied by Master Apothecary Nicholas Wilton. In the wake of these deaths, the archbishop dispatches one-eyed spy Owen Archer to York to find the murderer. Under the guise of a disillusioned soldier keen to make a fresh start, Owen insinuates himself into Wilton’s apothecary as an apprentice. But he finds Wilton bedridden, with the shop being run by his lovely, enigmatic wife, Lucie. As Owen unravels a tangled history of scandal and tragedy, he discovers at its center a desperate, forbidden love twisted over time into obsession. And the woman he has come to love is his prime suspect.

Published 1993. 340 pages. The author took a break in 2008 and didn't write for ELEVEN year in this series. So it's been such a long time since I've read it, I've been meaning to re-read it. It seems that now may be the time.

Steve is taking a break from the gun range tonight. I don't know what I'll be doing.

By the way, here's a photo of my November Found Objects Challenge items:

 I feel challenged, for sure.

Have a good day
