Just wanna hang out on the couch today

Thursday.

I feel like I'm experiencing a reading slump. I don't know what I want to read. Nothing sounds good. Not even the new releases I've gotten recently.

I hate that feeling.

So I've paused on the two I was reading for now and starting something fresh. MURDER ON THE SEA WITCH by Irina Shapiro. 7th of 15 in Redmond and Haze historical mystery series.

When the body of a renowned British archeologist is found inside a sarcophagus he was bringing back from a dig in Egypt, Redmond and Haze must determine who aboard the Sea Witch had reason to want him dead. The method of murder suggests it was someone familiar with the funerary rites of the Ancient Egyptians, casting suspicion on members of the expedition, but there were others aboard the vessel who might have harbored a grudge against Blake Upton for reasons unconnected to the dig. Confronted with professional jealousy, affairs of the heart, simmering resentment, and corrosive blame, Redmond and Haze must solve the case before the killer strikes again.

Published 2022; 270 pages.

I have a physical book coming tomorrow by Grace Burrows that I'm very much looking forward to. The ebook comes out next Friday on the 1st.

The spiral Tunisian crochet is going well. I've learned that I need to concentrate on it more than previous, of course. So no watching YouTube or listening to audiobook and not when I'm tired.

Sprints tonight. Crocheting during. Reading after.

Have a good day

Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
