The weekend was entirely too short, madam

 Monday

I completed the second block of the afghan this weekend. I enjoy doing the stitches; I don't enjoy doing the borders.

On to the third block. This month's installment, the next three squares, should be showing up pretty soon.

I finished reading DILIGENCE POINT by Alice Sabo. Glad to have another book in the series ..... I gave it 3 stars. I liked it, but it didn't blow me away.

And of course the best laid reading plans often go by the wayside because of moods .... So I'm back to reading MURDER AT KENSINGTON PALACE by Andrea Penrose.

Loving it. Stalled out a little on the Vicki Delany but I haven't given up yet.

And I'm listening to an oldie from my TBR and a re-read. STORM FRONT by Jim Butcher. 1st of 17 in the Dresden Files (paranormal).

As a professional wizard, Harry Dresden knows firsthand that the “everyday” world is actually full of strange and magical things—and most of them don’t play well with humans. And those that do enjoy playing with humans far too much. He also knows he’s the best at what he does. Technically, he’s the only at what he does. But even though Harry is the only game in town, business—to put it mildly—stinks. So when the Chicago P.D. bring him in to consult on a double homicide committed with black magic, Harry's seeing dollar signs. But where there's black magic, there's a black mage behind it. And now that mage knows Harry's name...

Published 2000; 332 pages. The audiobook performer has a fabulously deep voice and does an excellent job.

Lunch was good at Rio Sabina's yesterday. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp and cilantro cauliflower rice. Otherwise, did a little cleaning, a little napping, walked Keo, etc. Here's a photo from yesterday. He's looking a lot better.

He's got an eye infection that I'm treating but he doesn't look like a plucked chicken anymore.

I've got reading sprints at 5pm this evening that I'll tune in closer to 6pm because of driving home and dealing with Keo and then Steve'd dinner. That's about it.

Have a good day

Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
