How can it be Monday again?

Back again. Hope y'all had a good weekend? Yes?

You thought their story was over… but a love like theirs has no end. Fate doesn’t own Jake McKallister. At least, that’s what he tells himself. Life is better than ever. He’s at the top of his game, performing to sold-out crowds the world over. He has his health and a solid, fun-loving family to keep him grounded. And he got the girl - the beautiful, quirky girl he’s just made his wife. Yes, life is good. If only fate would stop screaming in his ear. Lucky is the best word for Casey McKallister. She has an awesome support system, a nerd’s dream job at a prestigious accounting firm, and best of all, she’s married to the hottest rock star to ever roam the earth. Yes, life is perfect… until it all comes crashing down around her. They say love conquers all. That’s what Jake and Casey are counting on.
Published 2018; 368 pages.  This will probably jump the queue when I go to bed and read for a bit.

Currently reading AS DEATH DRAWS NEAR by Anna Lee Huber. 5th of 6 in series featuring Lady Darby, a widowed artist in 1830s Scotland.

July 1831. In the midst of their idyllic honeymoon in England’s Lake District, Kiera and Gage’s seclusion is soon interrupted by a missive from her new father-in-law. A deadly incident involving a distant relative of the Duke of Wellington has taken place at an abbey south of Dublin, Ireland, and he insists that Kiera and Gage look into the matter. Intent on discovering what kind of monster could murder a woman of the cloth, the couple travel to Rathfarnham Abbey school. Soon a second nun is slain in broad daylight near a classroom full of young girls. With the sinful killer growing bolder, the mother superior would like to send the students home, but the growing civil unrest in Ireland would make the journey treacherous. Before long, Kiera starts to suspect that some of the girls may be hiding a sinister secret.

Published 2016; 349 pages.

Have a good day

Much love,
