Bookeemonster: a voracious appetite for books, mostly crime fiction.
Wednesday. And no wonder it's a been rough week. It's retrograding all over the place.
Steve has the range tonight. I could either play with some jump rings and work on a chainmaille bracelet or I can read if I can settle on a book.
Made this last night:
The charm is from Hobby Lobby and was the starting point of the project. The sections of the fan open and close and on the back side is gold with some embossing so it can look good either way. The beads were from old subscription boxes. I don't do pink a whole lot but when I do .... I do good. Thinking of my ultimate fave, the blush bracelet, also.
Hobby Lobby is going to become my new crack house, with the bead shop closing. They have TONS of charms and focals which is what my jewelry making is transitioning too. They suck for seed beads and such but what a joy for other supplies. I hadn't really looked at their beading section in many many months. Maybe since I started doing this two years ago about. My understanding of what/how things are used has grown leaps and bounds.
Have a good day

Nothing really to report otherwise. In fluffy news, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge has topped my favorite dress of hers. This used to be my fave:
This was my second favorite (and she wore it on the same tour):
And this was my third favorite:
Well, let's face it, she looks bloody marvelous in anything she wears. But she blew it all out of the water tonight at the new James Bond movie premiere. Ready?
Stunning.
Have a good day

And apparently the weekend before they attacked another server:
Apparently the bad guys learned they get more attention if they do it on a Monday rather than a Saturday.
On a happier note, I finished my September Found Objects challenge. Here's what I received to work with:
Here's what I made:
I went to the bead shop on Saturday. They broke the sad news that they're closing before the end of the year. Barb is moving back to Baker to be closer to her mom who's been moved to a nursing home in Glendive and her daughter and new baby granddaughter in Beech and her son nearby. She was offered a bookkeeping job and she hadn't sold her house in Baker so there were too many things falling into place for her not to do it.
But the sad thing is for our little beading group who meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays. And I am ever more grateful that I found Randee at Thunderhorse Descendant and the Found Objects. She does a live YouTube coffee club thing Monday through Friday that I watch. And then she does live Tuesday and Friday evenings on Facebook where she usually makes incredible off the cuff jewelry. And then she does extra videos for her own stuff as well as other bead companies.
Yes, yes she is. Whereas, this is me:
Since we're in such chaos, tonight we're just going to pick up something to eat for dinner and call the 24th anniversary good.
Have a good day

Friday. TGIF. Happy dance.
No real plans for the weekend. I'll drop by the bead shop for not very long because they're doing a cake for Jim who's had a rough summer.
But I don't want to stay very long. Just a long week and I'd rather be relaxing at home.
But I do still have the third FOC necklace to make. Lots of reading. Lots of binge watching. Lots of napping to do.
Have a good weekend

Thursday.
Yeah, still nothing much going on. Work is work.
Oh but the good news is tomorrow a new season of The Great British Baking show starts!
I'm hoping Steve picks up something for dinner tonight or we're having leftovers of some kind.
Have a good day
Much love,
