But I'm not ready for the weekend to be over...

 Monday.

I finished AGENT ZERO. Not bad. The main character is VERY much an Energizer Bunny...

.... and sometimes verging into John Wick territory.

But I liked it for what it was. Plus I was envisioning this guy.

Yes, I'll read the next one in series. And yes, I just wanted an excuse to put his photo up again.

Currently reading JUNIPER WILES by Charles de Lint. Fantasy. Stand alone but in the urban fantasty world of Newford of which there are 21 books.

Juniper Wiles once starred as a plucky teen detective in the popular TV show, Nora Constantine. When the series ended seven years ago, Juniper made a decision to leave L.A. and return home to Newford where she joined friends at the artists' collective, Bramleyhaugh, the center of which is her pal, beloved faerie artist Jilly Coppercorn. Now, out of the blue, the fictional world of Nora Constantine is bleeding into Newford, starting with the inexplicable murder of a young man. Juniper may have wanted to leave her role as a detective behind, but when she's accosted by the ghost of that young man everything changes. To solve this crime will require all the skills she learned training for Nora Constantine. And the effervescent Jilly, always up for a new adventure, is ready to come along for the ride.

Published 2021; 208 pages. I first encountered de Lint decades ago in my SFF phase. This is pretty obviously based on the Veronica Mars TV series so I was intrigued by the storyline.

Tomorrow, a long-awaited book is released.

I'll probably read it this weekend. If you haven't read the first book in the series, WELL PLAYED, get thee hence and read it!

 Have a good day

 Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
