Busting outta here

And we start the week again.

This weekend I didn't do much beading because I was in the mood to read and for something lighter so I started and finished a fluffy or beach read kind a book. OCEAN BEACH by Wendy Wax. 2nd of 6 in the Ten Beach Road books

When unlikely friends Madeline, Avery, and Nicole arrive in Miami’s South Beach neighborhood, they’re hoping for a do-over. Literally. They’ve been hired to bring a historic house back to its former glory on a new television show called Do Over. If they can just get this show off the ground, Nikki could fix her finances, Avery could restart her career, and Maddie would have a shot at keeping her family together. The women quickly realize that having their work broadcast is one thing, but having their personal lives play out on TV is another. Soon they’re struggling to hold themselves, and the project, together. With a decades-old mystery—and hurricane season—looming, the women are forced to figure out just how they’ll weather life’s storms...

Published 2012; 448 pages.

Currently reading KOMARR by Lois McMaster Bujold. 12th of 17 in Vorkosigan series (SFF).

Komarr could be a garden - with a thousand more years work. Or an uninhabitable wasteland, if the terraforming fails. Now the solar mirror vital to the terraforming of the conquered planet has been shattered by a ship hurtling off course. The Emperor of Barrayar sends his newest Imperial Auditor, Lord Miles Vorkosigan, to find out why. In the political and physical claustrophobia of the domed cities, are the Komarrans surrounding Miles loyal subjects, potential hostages, innocent victims, or rebels bidding for revenge? Miles is caught in a race against time to stop a plot that could exile him from Barrayar forever. His hope lies in an unexpected ally, one with wounds as deep and honor as beleaguered as his own.

Published 1998; 332 pages.

Steve I think is over his bug from the weekend. I seem to have picked it up today. While not debilitating, it is a low level feeling of ugh so I think I may be only working a half day.

See that? I snuck in a Tom Keen!

Nothing on TV tonight. So I'll probably finish the Bujold book and go to bed early (hopefully). Have a good day

Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
