Butt bed or heating pad?

It's about -11 degrees out this afternoon. After letting the boys out for their morning romp, we're hunkering down. I've got book, blanket, hot drink ... and doing laundry.

I don't know if I'm enjoying CITY OF JASMINE  as much as I did her previous book, A SPEAR OF SUMMER GRASS. JASMINE has the two love interests, husband and wife though she thought he had been dead for five years, bantering of course but the banter doesn't seem so much as "oh I really love you" bantering as "I really hate you" arguing. Sometimes I feel like saying "just go your separate ways already for all of our sakes". This is supposed to be light romance/adventure. And I know they will be together and inseparable by the end of the book but I'm rapidly running out pages where that will seem a plausible ending. I'm disappointed because I was so looking forward to this book.

I don't think there's much on TV tonight. Steve will probably continue to play on his computer and I will read.

Stay warm and cozy. I think I'm going to go make a cuppa.

Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
