Wait, let me get a better look ... yup, Monday.

I'm currently reading INDIA BLACK by Carol K Carr. This is 1st of 4 in series featuring India Black, a young madam running a brothel catering to gentlemen, in 1870s London. Here is a description:
1876, when Sir Archibald Latham of the War Office dies from a heart attack while visiting her brothel, Madam India Black is unexpectedly thrust into a deadly game between Russian and British agents who are seeking the military secrets Latham carried.  Blackmailed into recovering the missing documents by the British spy known as French, India finds herself dodging Russian agents-and the attraction she starts to feel for the handsome conspirator.
Published in 2011, it has 304 pages.

I'm also re-reading BARRAYAR by Lois McMaster Bujold. This is 2nd of her Vorkosigan Saga. Here is a description:
Sick of combat and betrayal, Cordelia was ready to settle down to a quiet life, interrupted only by the occasion ceremonial appearances required of the Lady Vorkosigan. But when the Emperor died, Aral became guardian of the child heir to the imperial throne of Barrayar —and the target of high-tech assassins in a dynastic civil war.

Published in 1991, it has 321 pages.

Much love,
