Friday, here it is.
Worked a half day today; that was nice. Took the boys for a run and then laid down for a wee nap.
I'm currently reading MARBECK AND THE DOUBLE DEALER by John Pilkington. This is 1st in series featuring Martin Marbeck, an intelligencer working for Sir Robert Cecil during the Elizabethan wars with Spain, in 1600s England. Here is a description:
1600: a new century dawns. War with Spain has dragged on for fifteen years, the conflict in Ireland for six. Unease stalks England in the dying years of Elizabeth I’s reign, and Elizabethan intelligencer Martin Marbeck is bored. Then a message from his spymaster, Sir Robert Cecil arrives: the existence of a spy has been discovered, code-named Morera, and Marbeck must uncover the true identity of this traitor quickly, before rumours of the young King Philip III forming a new Armada prove themselves to be true.
It was published March 2013 and has 192 pages. This is from the library; new series so I'm giving it a try.
No huge plans for the Easter weekend. I'll stop by M&D and see Jess and Jared as well. Otherwise, cleaning, back yard pick up, and maybe some book research and brainstorming.
Much love,
