Just starting CAMBER OF CULDI by Katherine Kurtz. 1st of Legends of Camber of Culdi fantasy trilogy.
Long before Camber was revered as a saint, he was a Deryni noble, one of the most respected of the magical race whose arcane skills set them apart from ordinary humans in the medieval kingdom of Gwynedd. Published 1979; 340 pages. I've loved this author since I read my first Deryni book in junior high. I'm sure it's been that long since I read this one, too. I'm strangely gleefully excited to restart these books. Such a different perspective now at 54 rather than, what, 14? Kurtz created such an in-depth world of medieval-type politics and religious conflicts with magic thrown in.
Well, tomorrow's plans are back up in the air. Steve's ATV adventures got cancelled. So I may still go to the bead shop tomorrow. I guess we'll see what happens. There may yet be events conspiring in the background.
If I go there, I think I may still play in the bead boxes there and try some eye-pin linking, playing with chain, etc. in anticipation of the grab-bag coming.
Don't have any ideas for dinners so we'll be winging that for now. Naps will happen. Otherwise,I'm just going to have a quiet, typical weekend to recover from this one and rest up for the next one. That will also be enjoyable.
