Come, let us hence from here for it be Monday

 Monday

The 100 Day Project. I don't have a completed piece yet. I've been working on the bracelet. Here's how it started on Saturday:

Things got chaotic yesterday so I don't have a progress photo. On the plus side, I started to clean up/organize the bead piles. Trying to do a bit at a time. Organizing by color.

On the negative: I finally admitted that I lost the battle for the wound on Coda's leg. We took him to the vet yesterday evening for emergency admittance to have his leg amputated. He is absolutely fine otherwise -- hasn't lost weight, eating and drinking  very well, peeing and otherwise very well, his attitude is always so bright and good. We acknowledge that his other back leg isn't strong enough to necessarily support him as it should when it will be left as the only one back there. We're hoping with this procedure, that will get stronger and, we also told ourselves and the vet, that when this all happened and he was paralyzed from the middle of his body on back ... he was still a very happy and sparkly dog even when he couldn't move at all. If at age 12, he doesn't walk and we have to lift him (as I've been doing for the last week or so) ... then that is how it will be.

Today, I'm told Coda is on an IV of antibiotics and pain meds prior to the procedure happening sometime later today. Then the vet will call me about the next steps in recovery. Ryker is at work with me. It is a nice break from the stress having professionals looking after Coda, I will admit.

Currently reading HOPE FOR THE BEST by Jodi Taylor. 10th of 13 in series of St. Mary's Chronicles.

You can't change History. History doesn't like it. There are always consequences. Max is no stranger to taking matters into her own hands. Especially when she's had A Brilliant Idea. Yes, it will mean breaking a few rules, but - as Max always says - they're not her rules. Seconded to the Time Police to join in the hunt for the renegade Clive Ronan, Max is a long way from St Mary's. But life in the future does have its plus points - although not for long. A problem with the Time Map reveals chaos in the 16th century and the wrong Tudor queen on the throne. History has gone rogue, there's a St Mary's team right in the firing line and Max must step up. You know what they say. Hope for the best. But plan for the worst.

Published 2019; 453 pages. I needed some surreal humor.

We have Street Outlaws to watch tonight. We'll have leftovers for dinner. I will keep working on the bracelet for at least 10 minutes.

 Have a good day

Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
