Disgruntled

  Monday. No receptionist today.

I finished the Agatha Christie book. A) I never liked Miss Marple and I STILL don't like Miss Marple and B) I had suspected whodunnit but I didn't figure it out. Agatha-1/PK-0. 3 stars

I finished A MURDER IN TIME and really liked it. So much so I pretty much read it in one day. Four stars. Looking forward to the series.

Yesterday, I started this month's 1000 Day Pages Challenge going on this week.

I started and finished A DANCE OF SILVER AND SHADOW by Melanie Cellier. 1st of 6 in Beyond the Four Kingdoms fantasy series.

When Princess Liliana and her twin sister set sail for new lands, Lily hopes to find adventure and romance. But the people of Marin live under the shadow of a curse—one powerful enough to destroy entire kingdoms. To protect them all, Lily and eleven other princesses are forced to participate in a mysterious and secret tournament. Lily spends her nights competing in a magical underground realm and her days unraveling the dangers of this new court. Although she needs the help of the Marinese prince, Lily knows she can't let herself grow too close to him. There's no time for romance when the duchy is about to fall to the encroaching darkness and the winner of the tournament faces a terrible fate. But Lily and her twin have a secret advantage. And Lily grows increasingly determined to use their magical bond to defeat the tournament, save the princesses, and free Marin. Except she might have to sacrifice true love to do it. In this re-imagining of the classic fairy tale, The Twelve Dancing Princesses, there's a lot more at stake than worn out dancing slippers.

Published 2017; 328 pages. Luckily, it was Kindle Unlimited so no additional cost. This is Young Adult and read like it. I wasn't in the mood for something that ... immature... so I skim read it. 3 stars.

Currently reading HEIR OF NOVRON by Michael J. Sullivan. 3rd of Riyria Revelations trilogy.

The New Empire intends to mark its victory over the Nationalists with a bloody celebration. On the high holiday of Wintertide, the Witch of Melengar will be burned and the Heir of Novron executed. On that same day the Empress faces a forced marriage, with a fatal accident soon follow. The New Empire is confident in the totality of its triumph but there's just one problem-Royce and Hadrian have finally found the true Heir of Novron---and they have their own holiday plans.

Published 2012; 895 pages. I love these books so it will go quickly.

As of yesterday, my total page count is:

I always do a big number of pages on the Sunday of the challenge. During the work week, I'm tired and can't get as many in. I tried hard to stay focused today knowing it'll drop off dramatically.

Tonight starting at 5pm I have reading sprints with the YouTube book gals so maybe I'll get some good pages in this evening.

Have a good day

Much love,

PK the Bookeemonster
