Sigh. So last night's episode of Arrow was a heartbreaker. I don't like this Evil Arrow storyline -- or as the Interweb is calling him "Darth Oliver." Even the actor's MOTHER doesn't like it. He tweeted that his mom texted him during the show last night:
You don't want to see my face after that fight scene... you are really nastyFrom his MOM! But of course the writers just HAVE to shake things up because happiness isn't dramatic....
....and I'm sure the star loves to play something different for a while. Bah. I've half a mind to ignore the series until the end of next season and then just binge watch so I can see positive resolution. You just KNOW that the writers are going to have Oliver somehow be rescued from his brainwashing by the end of this season (week after next) but he will still feel he has to honor the vows he was forced into which makes no sense whatsoever because they were conducted by no legal authority and he was brainwashed at the time so therefore Olicity is thwarted. Again. That's your cue, writers:
I'd be telling Felicity, "Girl, it's just not worth it. His soul is gone, he's not a billionaire anymore ... You had one good, well bittersweet, night together ... time to cut your losses. Walk away and don't look back. Move to Central City. Look who's there."
There's always Barry Allen or Ray Palmer. One's a puppy with a crush on you and you've already, er, been with the other and they are decent guys .... Yeah I know, it's hard to beat this:
Nothing on TV tonight, thank goodness. I'm free until Saturday.
I finished the Roberts book last night. I think I may read THE MARTIAN by Andy Weir. This is a stand alone and much lauded so I'll give it a try. Here's a description:
