I'm currently reading MURDER ON WASHINGTON SQUARE by Victoria Thompson. This is 4th of 19 featuring Sarah Brandt, a midwife in turn-of-the-20th-century New York City.
Sarah Brandt is surprised when the son of her superstitious next door neighbor asks for her professional advice.
