Hey I slept way better last night. But my alarm didn't go off this morning so I was off schedule and rushing. So I'll be a bit scrambled today I'm sure.
Last night's Arrow .... Laurel is finally dead!
In the comic book world, Oliver and Laurel are a big deal. But in the TV show, the casting/chemistry wasn't there like it was with Felicity and then the writers just didn't really do her justice. So after four years, she's gone and her death will set up the last big bang finale of the season and bring Felicity and Oliver back together. Olicity, baby!
Aaaaannnnd we're on another three week break from the show. Damn May sweeps.
Currently reading MURDER ON MULBERRY BEND by Victoria Thompson. 5th of 19 in series featuring Sarah Brandt, a midwife in turn-of-the-20th-century New York City.
The Prodigal Son Mission on Mulberry Bend stands as a refuge for girls who otherwise would have to live by selling the only thing they have of value—themselves. The work being done there so impresses Sarah that she volunteers to help out however she can—with clothes, with medical assistance, with the organization of a benefit dinner. And when one of the girls is found dead and refused burial because of her former life, Sarah’s passion for justice is aroused. Reluctantly, Sergeant Frank Malloy agrees to look into the death, if only to keep Sarah from endangering herself by pursuing the matter. But Sarah cannot be kept out of the investigation—and just as Malloy feared, her attempts to find the cause of the unfortunate girl’s death in the circumstances of her life put her in deadly danger—from an unexpected source…
