PK'S NOTE: Is this the scandal that will finally bring down this administration? After Fast and Furious, after Benghazi, after illegal appointments and executive orders, after so much that just slid off this man and his minions? One can only hope. I saw bits of a Discovery Channel special yesterday on Watergate. Historically, Nixon is evil personified. What was Watergate that brought down a presidency? That was all about some political operatives from the Nixon election committee
that broke into the democrats office in Washington DC with the approval
of Nixon. They took information that was damning and personal to be
used against the Democratic party. Bad, sure. Nearly destroyed the country in the 70s. Keep that in mind. Now keep this in mind: Under Obama, many people have DIED because of this administration's corruption. And the mainstream media is in the bag and covered up everything and will attempt to help cover this up. Just watch.
Beck Breaks Exclusive Information on Saudi National Once Considered a Person of Interest in Boston Bombings
Background points:
- A Saudi national originally identified as a “person of interest” in
the Boston Marathon bombing was set to be deported under section 212 3B —
“Security and related grounds” — “Terrorist activities” after the
bombing
- As the story gained traction, TheBlaze’s Chief Content Officer Joel
Cheatwood received word that the government may not deport the Saudi
national, originally identified as Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi
- Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to answer
questions on the subject when confronted by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) on
Capitol Hill.
- An ICE official said a separate Saudi national is in custody, but is “in no way” connected to the bombings.
- A congressional source, however, says that the file on Alharbi was
created, that he was “linked” in some way to the Boston bombings
(though it is unclear how), and that documents showing all this have
been sent to Congress.
- Committee on Homeland Security requests a classified briefing with Napolitano
- TheBlaze sources and Fox News’ Todd Starnes report that Alharbi was allegedly flagged on a terrorist watch list
- New information provided to TheBlaze reveals Alharbi’s file was
altered early Wednesday evening to disassociate him from the initial
charges
- Sources say the Saudi’s student visa specifically allows him to go
to school in Findlay, Ohio, though he appears to have an apartment in
Boston, Massachusetts
- Sources tell us this will most likely now be kicked from the DHS to
the DOJ and labeled an ongoing investigation that can no longer be
discussed.
Monday morning Glenn Beck laid out what
he knows about the Saudi connection to the Boston marathon bombings.
It is a story that the mainstream media has all but completely ignored,
though Beck says TheBlaze’s Chief Content Officer Joel Cheatwood reached
out to numerous other networks in an effort to get the story out.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to acknowledge the
story even existed when questioned by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) last
Friday.
But now a number of congressional
sources have confirmed that the story is as TheBlaze reported last week,
and Beck is presenting more pieces of the big picture. “This week has changed me,” he said at
the top of his radio program on Monday. “The events in Boston changed
me….The events in Washington around Boston changed me.”
We crossed an “extraordinarily disturbing threshold” last week, Beck said, but we know “exactly who we’re dealing with now.”
After a discussion of how Dzhokhar
Tsarnaev, who is currently under guard in the hospital, wasn’t read his
Miranda rights, Beck proceeded to lay out a number of points on the
case. “While the media continues to look at what the causes were of these two guys, there are, at this hour, three people involved,” he said. “The first one is the one we are going to address.”
Beck proceeded to highlight the
background of the Saudi national first identified as a “person of
interest” in the Boston bombings, Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, noting that
the the NTC issued an event file calling for his deportation using
section 212, 3B which is proven terrorist activity.
“We are not sure who actually tagged
him as a ’212 3B,’ but we know it is very difficult to charge someone
with this — it has to be almost certain,” Beck explained. “It is the
equivalent in civil society of charging someone with premeditated murder
and seeking the death penalty — it is not thrown around lightly.”
Beck continued, noting that after
Secretary of State John Kerry met with Saudi Foreign Minister Saud on
Tuesday, the FBI began backtracking on the Saudi national from suspect,
to person of interest, to witness, to victim, to nobody.
Then, on Wednesday, President Obama
had a “chance” encounter with Saudi Foreign Minister Saud and Saudi
Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir.
“Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. the file is
altered,” Beck said. “This is unheard of, this is impossible in the
timeline due to the severity of the charge….You don’t one day put a 212
3B charge against somebody with deportation, and then the next day take
it off. It would require too much to do it.”
“There are only two people that could
revoke the deportation order — the director of the NTC could do it after
speaking with each department, the FBI, the ATC, etc. — which is
impossible to do in such a short period of time, — or, somebody at the
very highest levels of the State Department could do it. We don’t have
any evidence to tell you which one did it,” Beck said.
Congressman Duncan is in
possession of the original event file along with other members of the
House Homeland Security Committee, and have sent a formal letter of
request (which we have a copy of) to Napolitano for a classified
briefing on the Saudi national and the deportation order.
Beck proceeded to highlight more key points: Blaze sources say the Saudi national was once flagged on a terror watch list and was granted a student visa without being properly vetted.
If, as an ICE official said last week, there is actually a second
Saudi in custody, who is it? Beck asked. “Why were there were no names,
no pictures presented? The fact is, an event was created for one Abdul
Rahman Ali Al-Harbi indicating he was to be deported for terrorism
activity related to the Boston bombing. If this file was created with
another Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi in mind, don’t you think we should
know about it?”
Beck proceeded with more exclusive information:
The Saudi’s student visa specifically allows him to go to school in Findley, Ohio. He has been in this country six months. He has an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts.
If this is a case of mistaken identity, then who is the person named in the file, with the same name, with the 3B charge? And If DHS was working with the person as a source to out the bombers, then why was there a 3B Charge?
Exclusive: Why wasn’t the
Congressional Committee on Homeland Security notified? Why are they
being cut out of all information? This is protocol.
We are working on the family connections, and there is more to come.
Sources tell us this will most
likely now be kicked from the DHS to the DOJ and labeled an ongoing
investigation that can no longer be discussed. This will be the reason
Napalitano won’t answer the Homeland Security Committee’s request for a
briefing. Like Benghazi they have heavy into a
disinformation campaign floating a variety of scenarios to confuse the
media — but that apparently doesn’t take much — to prevent the story
from being pursued… They are also working very hard to discredit those
on the scent.
“I need you to call your congressmen
right now. There are congressmen who are aware of this, have seen the
documentation — they need your support, they need your help,” Beck
continued. “If we do not stand up, he is on a plane tomorrow or he is
already gone.”
“We demand answers from the Justice Department and this administration.”

Saudi National Questioned in Boston was on Terror Watch List
The Saudi national who was initially detained and then ruled out as a
suspect in the Boston Marathon terrorist attack had been flagged on a
terror watch list and was granted a student visa without being properly
vetted, sources have told me.
A source close to the investigation revealed that Abdul Rahman Ali
Alharbi had been deemed inadmissible under the section of the
Immigration and Nationality Act which declares ineligible for a visa –
any alien who is engaged in or is likely to engage after entry – in
terrorist activity.
At least two additional sources have confirmed to me that Ali Alharbi
is set to be deported as early as this week, contrary to statements
made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
The House Homeland Security Committee is now requesting a classified
briefing with Napolitano to get to the bottom of the issue, according to
an exclusive report from The Blaze.
Napolitano denied anyone was being deported in a heated exchange Thursday with Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) during a House hearing.
“I am unaware of anyone who is being deported for national security
concerns at all related to Boston,” she said. “I don’t know where that
rumor came from.” The Homeland Security chief said the Saudi national was not “technically a person of interest or a suspect, that was a wash.”
But Duncan questioned the wisdom of deporting someone who was at the scene of a terrorist attack.
“Wouldn’t you agree with me that it is negligent for us, as an
American administration, to deport someone who was reportedly at the
scene of the bombing, and we are going to deport him, not to be able to
question him anymore, is that not negligent,” Duncan asked.
Napolitano refused to answer the question.
“It is so full of misstatements and misapprehensions, that it is just
not worthy of any answer,” she replied. “There has been so much
reported on this that has been wrong. I can’t even begin to tell you,
congressman.”
Last week Steven Emerson, of the Investigative Project on Terrorism,
told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity that Alharbi had been set to be
deported “on national security grounds.”
“You don’t arrest their citizens – you deport them,” Emerson said regarding the Saudis.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement official told me that it was a case a “Saudi being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
The official, with knowledge of the case, said Alharbi’s status has changed – but as it now stands – he will be sent back home.
“They don’t like the negative press,” the official said of the
Saudis. “The guess is he will probably be allowed to leave without a lot
of hype in order to avoid political sensitivities with the Saudis.”
ICE sources told The Blaze that a separate Saudi national was in custody — and that individual was in no way affiliated with the Boston attacks.

Following The Saudi Angle – Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi Terrorist Ties and Obama Administration Avoidance
Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi was injured and hospitalized during the
bombing. Subsequently two high level meetings with his
family’s interested representatives were conducted by both Secretary of
State John Kerry and President Obama himself. Michelle Obama even
went to the hospital where Ali Al Harbi was being cared for and paid him a personal visit.
But why does he matter? ...
Now,…… according to Walid Shoebat Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi has links to al-Qaeda Terrorists and Affiliates:
Shoebat - After the bombings, a Saudi by the name of Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi was hospitalized and became a ‘suspect’, then a ‘person of interest’. His apartment was searched
by federal and local authorities. No confirmation has been given so far
to his involvement. The Media were quick to claim his innocence, of
course.
This brings us to the Boston marathon bombings. Foreign Policy is reporting that he’s ‘no longer a person of interest’, which means he’s “innocent”, right?
Perhaps a quick look at the Arabic
sources should raise the eyebrows of every American relative to the
extent of the problem at hand. Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are steeped in
terrorism and are members of Al-Qaeda. Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda:
#15 Badr Saud
Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi #73 Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi #26
Khalid Salim Uwaid Al-Lahibi Al-Harbi #29 Raed Abdullah Salem
Al-Thahiri Al-Harbi #43 Abdullah Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Harbi (leader)
#60 Fayez Ghuneim Humeid Al-Hijri Al-Harbi Source: http://aalhameed1.net/vb/showthread.php?t=1565
Then you have Al-Harbi clan members in Gitmo:
في-جوانتانامو
There are specific Saudi clans that
are rife with members of Al-Qaeda, which makes it quite alarming as to
why nearly a hundred thousand student visas are issued to these.
Americans are clueless as to clan ties when it comes to terrorism. (link)
How can a person of interest, Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi, be
cleared and released, within hours, a person that has a laundry list of
questionable ties to al-Qaeda, and be ushered out of the country rather
than prosecuted? And yet deported on “national security grounds”….
Pam Geller weighs in: Steve
Emerson just broke the shocking news that the Saudi national, Abdul
al-Harbi, who was first questioned in the Boston bombing, is going to be
deported on “national security grounds.” He is from a very powerful Saudi family with many terrorist ties. Abdul al-Harbi is a devout Muslim from Medina.
I said that
it takes longer than 15 hours to investigate all of Abdul al-Harbi’s
relatives, friends, acquaintances, and business and school friends.
Perhaps a quick look at the Arabic sources should raise
the eyebrows of every American relative to the extent of the problem at
hand. Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are steeped in terrorism and are members
of Al-Qaeda. Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda:
When I heard he was from a very powerful Saudi family, I worried about this kind of thing happening.

DHS questioned over decision to let Saudi passengers skip normal passport controls
A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give
"trusted traveler" status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be
extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for
accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind
the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Sources voiced concern about the decision to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which issued a report Wednesday
on the under-the-radar announcement -- which was first made by Homeland
Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after meeting in January with her
Saudi counterpart. According to the IPT, this would be the first time
the Saudi government has been given such a direct role in fast-tracking
people for entry into the United States.
"I think you have radical Wahhabism in certain elements in Saudi
Arabia, and I think to be more lenient there than in other places would
be a mistake," Rep. Frank Wolf told the Investigative Project on
Terrorism. "There were 15 [hijackers] from that country, and there is a
lot taking place in that region."
Only an exclusive handful of countries enjoy inclusion in the Global
Entry program -- Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the Netherlands.
According to the IPT, some officials are questioning why Saudi Arabia
gets to reap the benefits of the program, when key U.S. allies like
Germany and France are not enrolled; Israel has reached a deal with the
U.S., but that partnership has not yet been implemented.
Any Saudi travelers cleared through the program will be able to
bypass the normal customs line after providing passports and
fingerprints. The status lasts for five years.
The decision is a turnaround, the IPT notes, from when Saudi Arabia
was briefly placed on a list of countries whose U.S.-bound travelers
would face higher scrutiny, in the wake of the failed Christmas Day
bombing attempt in 2009.
But Napolitano spoke highly of "the bond between the United States
and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" when she announced the change in
January.
"By enhancing collaboration with the government of Saudi Arabia, we
reaffirm our commitment to more effectively secure our two countries
against evolving threats while facilitating legitimate trade and
travel," Napolitano said.
The Global Entry program was launched in 2008 to expedite
pre-approved passengers through the airport customs and security process
when they arrive in the U.S. The program is designed to weed out
low-risk passengers and enable authorities to zero in on those who may
be more likely to pose a threat.
But the program has sparked controversy in the past. Critics objected
in late 2010 when Mexican citizens were included in the program,
raising concerns that drug cartels would quickly learn how to exploit
loopholes in the plan. DHS officials, however, insisted at the time that
people who attain trusted traveler status don't get a free pass and are
still subject to random searches.
The program allows travelers who have undergone a thorough vetting
process -- fingerprinting, background checks, interviews with customs
agents, etc.-- to attain a low-risk status that allows them to skip the
line at customs and complete their entry process at an automatic kiosk.
We Are Not Serious About Stopping Islamic Terror
As I read the media coverage and listen to our politicians and security
forces' bland comments and self-congratulations, my anger is rising. I
do not hear any resolve. I do not hear any interest in making sure
there are no more Islamic bombings of America.
Our
President praises the public for not being terrorized, then lectures us
not to "rush to judgment" about the bombers' motivations and "certainly
not about entire groups of people." Translation: we're not going to
talk about the jihadi war on us. Hope for the best. Do not pay
attention to the problem of Islamic imperialism.
This is what I want to hear:
There
is much that can be done to make sure there is never again an Islamic
bombing on American soil and we will do it. We must confront the
ideological reach of murderous Islamic imperialism into our immigrant
communities. We will review our immigration policies to make sure we
are not issuing residency permits and citizenship to national security risks. We must reform the laws governing FBI investigations of potential terrorist recruits, so Homeland Security and the FBI can effectively monitor individuals who visit jihadi websites and join local jihadi mosques.
The local Boston mosque parent of that attended by Dzhokhar is infamous
due to a long running scandal when a Moslem Brotherhood group was given
a sweetheart deal by Mayor Menino to build on land purchased with
American taxpayers dollars -- yet no journalist has investigated
Islamist influence on the Tsarnaev boys right here in jihad-friendly
America. The imam of the Boston mosque was invited and then disinvited
by Governor Duval and not allowed to speak at last Thursday's interfaith
service for the victims of the marathon bombing, so the government is
well aware they have a problem there.
Here are quotations from guest preachers invited to the Tsarnaev brothers' Islamic Society of Boston's Cambridge mosque over the years:
Sheikh
Yasir Qadhi: This morning, the world heard news about the crash of the
space shuttle. There is no doubt that Muslims were overjoyed because of
the adversity that befell their greatest enemy...This way, God Willing,
America will fall and disappear...
Sheikh
Yasir Qadhi was invited in 2008, around the time the older brother was
becoming more religious. The Sheikh is a Holocaust denier who has
"claimed that Jews want to destroy Muslims, and called all non-Muslims
(Jews and Christians) a 'spiritually filthy substance' whose lives and
property hold no value and are forfeit to Muslims during Jihad."
Recently,
the bomber's mosque invited Victoria Britain, a journalist who incites
rage by calling the war on terror a "war against Islam."
It
is also possible Dzokhar was exposed to radicalism on the U Mass
campus, which has a branch of the Muslim Students Association, also a front group of the Muslim brotherhood. The MSA's mission is to do jihadi work in America.
We're
not going to hear about jihad in America from this President, from our
bland Republican leadership, from the legacy media, or from the public.
It's too uncomfortable. It means acknowledging that the jihadi
imperialism is on the rise, that we are at war, whether we like it or
not, and that we have to make changes at home.
I
go to the hairdressers, and the liberals here in California are saying
with masochistic satisfaction, "Well, now we know what Europe and the
Iraqis have had to put up with," and "you can't stop this sort of
thing."
You can stop this sort of thing. It's not even that hard.
We could take the national security
threats posed by our immigration system more seriously. We could stop
issuing visas to Moslem countries like Chechnya and Saudi Arabia unless
they can demonstrate and swear they do not support jihad. We could
monitor their actions to make sure it is true. We could have INS, the
FBI, Homeland Security do their job. We need to make sure temporary
residents are not joining jihadi mosques and Muslim Brotherhood front
groups here in America. They are not citizens covered by our full
constitutional protections. They are potential national security
risks. If we take the threat seriously, intelligent policies,
consistent with our constitutional government, would be devised and
implemented. We're not even trying.
Howie Carr, a Boston talk radio host puts it this way:
...
American citizens were paying the price for the insane immigration
policies that have so damaged this society in recent years...
How many of these jihadist "refugees" can we as a society survive?
Look
at the chaos and the tragedy these Chechens have inflicted on the
people of Boston this week. Who asked them to come here? What exactly do
they contribute to the culture? They have had everything - absolutely
everything - handed to them.
Obviously, no other country in the world wanted these sharia-crazed Stone Age Muslim terrorists.
The
older terrorist, Tamerlan, was described as a "very religious" Muslim. I
guess that's why he was arrested for domestic abuse in 2009, because he
was so "very religious." And he told a photojournalist that, "I don't
have a single American friend."
Then he should have gone back to Chechnya.
Refugee
status is a privilege that should be offered to true refugees during
their time of crisis. But only as long as they are no danger to us.
This need not mean automatic citizenship, especially when the so-called
refugees safely travel back and forth from America to Russia and Chechnya repeatedly. We're not serious.
Immigration
to America has to stop being treated like a charity that we dole out
equally to all regions of the world. It is only a generation ago that
Senator Ted Kennedy decided to re-invent immigration and citizenship
with the avowed purpose to make America less white and less Western, to
prove we were not prejudiced. We don't need to prove a thing. Our
immigration system was a miracle in the history of the world, creating a
melting pot that was our pride and joy. Until this liberal make-over
of America, we allowed people into our country who both wanted to fit in
and become American, were capable of it, who left their old countries
behind, and who had something to offer. We did not offer them welfare,
we offered them opportunity.
No more. We are not serious about assimilation
for immigrants. These bomber brothers went to a public high school
with students from 70 nations. How is assimilation to America possible
under those circumstances? It isn't. Our educational system isn't even
trying. The kids aren't taught American history, our Constitution, our
pride, our responsibility to freedom. They are not taught
understanding and respect for their new American founding fathers,
heroes to every immigrant because they created the land of justice and
opportunity that is welcoming them to join us. Instead, Dzokhar's high
school English teacher assigned him a project to study Chechnya
grievances. Really. The professor he contacted for information on
atrocities there now wonders plaintively if that may have radicalized
Dzhokhar.
If
the FBI had taken the brothers' photos to all the Boston mosques,
instead of broadcasting them to the public at large, it seems possible
the brothers could have been identified and apprehended before their
shooting, bombing breakout which killed or seriously wounded two more
Americans. Is our FBI allowed to investigate a mosque following a
terror attack, or is that the kind of profiling generalization Obama is
warning us against?
We
could do better, a lot better, but we won't. The public is too passive
and uninformed to demand change, not for just three deaths. There has
been little outpouring of grief, rage and patriotism like after 9/11.
Obama is right. We're not scared enough.
Leadership
really does count. Our media and our political leaders actually attack
and threaten people who demand action against the Islamic threat. We'd
have to suffer massive carnage before our public would demand action.
No wonder the resolve to fight terror after 9/11 quickly faded, when
the Islamist enemy and the dangers of their imperialist ideology have
never been articulated by our leaders to this day. We are actually told
not to get worked up by oddball attacks from the Religion of Peace.
We
won't do better when the Democrat half of the country would rather
score political points by accusing conservatives of Islamophobia. We
won't do better when both Republican and Demcrat administrations are
filled with specialists and bureaucrats on the Middle East who are
educated in Saudi-financed university Middle East departments, who look
forward to jobs from the Saudis once they retire. We won't do better as
long as we allow the Saudis to penetrate our government with jihadi
influence.
My
heart cries for the families of the victims, those slain and those
maimed by these Islamic monsters. My righteous anger cries out that we
must be serious and make sure no more Americans are killed by these
primitives. We must confront this violent religion that has not
moderated its murderous imperialism in 1400 years. We can stop them.
But only if we are willing to look into the face of our enemy. So far,
it looks like we are not going to do that.

Brokaw: U.S. partly to blame for Boston terror
Veteran NBC anchor attempts moral equivalency in Marathon Massacre
Former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw strongly suggested Sunday that
America is partly to blame for the gruesome terrorists attacks in
Boston, because the young, Muslim men involved may have felt “alienated”
and angry over U.S. drone strikes on “innocent civilians” in Muslim
countries abroad.
Brokaw, who has been playing the role of media elder statesman since
retiring, went on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with host David Gregory to
discuss last week’s Boston bombings, which killed three and injured 183.
“There are a couple of things to remember here, David, I think for
all of us,” Brokaw intoned. “With the death of Osama bin Laden, Islamic
rage did not go away. In fact, in some ways it’s more dangerous. This is
a perfect example.”
He said Americans need to take a hard look at “the roots” of why so
many Muslims, including Americanized terrorists like the Tsarnaev
brothers in Boston, want to kill them. “There’s a lot that we still need to know about what motivated them,
obviously,” Brokaw said, noting the Muslim faith of both bombers. “And
the fact is that that Islamic rage is still out there.”
Added Brokaw: “But I think that there’s something else that goes
beyond the event that we’ve all been riveted by in the last week. We
have to work a lot harder (to understand) a motivation here.
Former NBC anchorman Tom Brokaw on "Meet the Press" Sunday, April 21, 2013
“What prompts a young man to come to this country and still feel
alienated from it, to go back to Russia and do whatever he did? And I
don’t think we’ve examined that enough,” he added. “I mean, there was
24/7 coverage on television, a lot of newspaper print and so on, but we
have got to look at the roots of all of this, because it exists across
the whole subcontinent and the Islamic world around the world.”
Finally Brokaw offered an explanation: “I think we also have to
examine the use of drones that the United States is involved (in), and
there are a lot of civilians who are innocently killed in a drone attack
in Pakistan, in Afghanistan and in Iraq.
“And I can tell you having spent a lot of time over there, young
people will come up to me on the streets and say we love America,” he
continued, “(but) if you harm one hair on the head of my sister, I will
fight you forever. And there is this enormous rage against what they see
in that part of the world as a presumptuousness of the United States.”
The explanation resembled that of President Obama’s preacher, Rev.
Jeremiah Wright, on the Sunday after the 9/11 attacks: “America’s
chickens are coming home to roost!”
Appearing on Tuesday’s “NBC Today” the day following the terrorist
attacks on Boston, Brokaw warned his media colleagues against premature
speculation regarding the motivation behind the simultaneous bombings,
which had the hallmarks of an organized Islamic terrorist attack.
“I think everybody has to take a deep breath,” he cautioned, “report what we know.”
Brokaw is often hailed as a politically neutral and patriotic
journalist. He is, however, a self-described Democrat who in 2008
referred to Obama’s inauguration as a “velvet revolution” and equated
him to Jesus Christ, while comparing GOP running-mate Sarah Palin to
Pontius Pilate.
In a recent National Press Club speech, moreover, he lamented the rise of the conservative press on the Internet and talk radio. “There now is in too many quarters of commentary a tyranny of the right,” he complained.
Brokaw also believes that the media has an “obligation” to advocate on behalf of liberal causes.
Journalists should “represent the views of those who are
underrepresented in the social context or the political context and to
make sure that they’re not overlooked and that their wrongs get the
bright light of journalistic sunshine,” he said in a recent interview
with the Columbia Journalism Review.
He complained that conservative cable networks, radio stations and
bloggers are “instantly jingoistic and savagely critical of any
questions raised about the decisions leading up to, for example, the war
in Iraq.”
Brokaw even compared them to jihadists: “They suffocate vigorous
discourse, the oxygen of a system such as ours, by identifying those who
refuse to conform and encouraging a kind of e-mail or telephonic jihad,
which is happily carried out by well-funded organizations operating
under the guise of promoting fair press coverage.”
Make No Mistake, It Was Jihad
Let's hope the administration gets over its reluctance to recognize attacks on the U.S. for what they are.
If your concern about the threat posed by the Tsarnaev brothers is
limited to assuring that they will never be in a position to repeat
their grisly acts, rest easy.
The elder, Tamerlan—apparently named
for the 14th-century Muslim conqueror famous for building pyramids of
his victims' skulls to commemorate his triumphs over infidels—is dead.
The younger, Dzhokhar, will stand trial when his wounds heal, in a
proceeding where the most likely uncertainty will be the penalty. No
doubt there will be some legal swordplay over his interrogation by the
FBI's High-Value Interrogation Group without receiving Miranda warnings.
But the only downside for the government in that duel is that his
statements may not be used against him at trial. This is not much of a
risk when you consider the other available evidence, including photo
images of him at the scene of the bombings and his own reported
confession to the victim whose car he helped hijack during last week's
terror in Boston.
But if your concern is over the larger
threat that inheres in who the Tsarnaev brothers were and are, what
they did, and what they represent, then worry—a lot.
For starters, you can worry about how
the High-Value Interrogation Group, or HIG, will do its work. That unit
was finally put in place by the FBI after so-called underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab
tried to blow up the airplane in which he was traveling as it flew over
Detroit on Christmas Day in 2009 and was advised of his Miranda rights.
The CIA interrogation program that might have handled the interview had
by then been dismantled by President Obama.
At the
behest of such Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated groups as the Council on
American Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America, and
other self-proclaimed spokesmen for American Muslims, the FBI has
bowdlerized its training materials to exclude references to militant
Islamism. Does this delicacy infect the FBI's interrogation group as
well?
Will we see another performance like the Army's after-action report following Maj. Nidal Hasan's
rampage at Fort Hood in November 2009, preceded by his shout "allahu
akhbar"—a report that spoke nothing of militant Islam but referred to
the incident as "workplace violence"? If tone is set at the top, recall
that the Army chief of staff at the time said the most tragic result of
Fort Hood would be if it interfered with the Army's diversity program.
Presumably the investigation into the Boston terror attack will
include inquiry into not only the immediate circumstances of the crimes
but also who funded Tamerlan Tsarnaev's months-long sojourn abroad in
2012 and his comfortable life style. Did he have a support network? What
training did he, and perhaps his younger brother, receive in the use of
weapons? Where did the elder of the two learn to make the suicide vest
he reportedly wore? The investigation should include as well a deep dive
into Tamerlan's radicalization, the Islamist references in the
brothers' social media communications, and the jihadist websites they
visited.
Will the investigation probe as well the FBI's own questioning of
Tamerlan two years ago at the behest of an unspecified foreign
government, presumably Russia, over his involvement with jihadist
websites and other activities? Tamerlan Tsarnaev is the fifth person
since 9/11 who has participated in terror attacks after questioning by
the FBI. He was preceded by Nidal Hasan; drone casualty Anwar al Awlaki;
Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad (born Carlos Leon Bledsoe), who murdered an
Army recruit in Little Rock in June 2009; and David Coleman Headley,
who provided intelligence to the perpetrators of the Mumbai massacre in
2008. That doesn't count Abdulmutallab, who was the subject of warnings
to the CIA that he was a potential terrorist.
If the intelligence yielded by the
FBI's investigation is of value, will that value be compromised when
this trial is held, as it almost certainly will be, in a civilian court?
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's lawyers, as they have every right to do, will seek
to discover that intelligence and use it to fashion a case in mitigation
if nothing else, to show that his late brother was the dominant
conspirator who had access to resources and people.
There is also cause for concern in
that this was obviously a suicide operation—not in the direct way of a
bomber who kills all his victims and himself at the same time by blowing
himself up, but in the way of someone who conducts a spree, holding the
stage for as long as possible, before he is cut down in a blaze of what
he believes is glory. Here, think Mumbai.
Until now, it has been widely accepted
in law-enforcement circles that such an attack in the U.S. was less
likely because of the difficulty that organizers would have in
marshaling the spiritual support to keep the would-be suicide focused on
the task. That analysis went out the window when the Tsarnaevs followed
up the bombing of the marathon by murdering a police officer in his
car—an act certain to precipitate the violent confrontation that
followed.
It has been apparent that with al
Qaeda unable to mount elaborate attacks like the one it carried out on
9/11, other Islamists have stepped in with smaller and less intricate
crimes, but crimes that are nonetheless meant to send a terrorist
message. These include Faisal Shahzad, who failed to detonate a device in Times Square in 2010, and would-be subway bomber Najibullah Zazi and his confederates.
Is this, as former CIA Director Michael Hayden put it, the new normal?
There is also cause for concern in the president's reluctance, soon
after the Boston bombing, even to use the "t" word—terrorism—and in his
vague musing on Friday about some unspecified agenda of the
perpetrators, when by then there was no mystery: the agenda was jihad.
For five years we have heard,
principally from those who wield executive power, of a claimed need to
make fundamental changes in this country, to change the
world's—particularly the Muslim world's—perception of us, to press
"reset" buttons. We have heard not a word from those sources suggesting
any need to understand and confront a totalitarian ideology that has
existed since at least the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood in the
1920s.
The ideology has regarded the United
States as its principal adversary since the late 1940s, when a
Brotherhood principal, Sayid Qutb, visited this country and was aghast
at what he saw as its decadence. The first World Trade Center bombing,
in 1993, al Qaeda attacks on American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in
1998, on the USS Cole in 2000, the 9/11 attacks, and those in the dozen
years since—all were fueled by Islamist hatred for the U.S. and its
values.
There are Muslim organizations in this country, such as the American
Islamic Forum for Democracy, headed by Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, that speak out
bravely against that totalitarian ideology. They receive no shout-out at
presidential speeches; no outreach is extended to them.
One of the Tsarnaev brothers is dead; the other might as well be. But if that is the limit of our concern, there will be others.

Homeland Security Prosecutes German Homeschool Family
In
November 2008, Uwe and Hannelore Romeike sold their grand piano (Uwe is
a piano teacher) and fled to the United States with their five
children. In Germany they were paying fines and being threatened with
having their children taken away from them. The facts of the case are not in dispute:
[Uwe
and Hannalore] began homeschooling their children in September 2006
primarily for religious reasons. Their decision was in knowing violation
of the compulsory school attendance law [of Germany]. Several times in
the following months, the applicants were warned verbally and in writing
that they were in violation of the compulsory school attendance law.
They were fined. Police forcibly escorted the children to school one
day. The adult applicants were warned that they could lose custody of
their children in they continued to refuse to send their children to
school. Legal proceedings resulted in the adult applicants being found
guilty of violating the compulsory school attendance law. By the time
the applicants left Germany, their fines had risen to approximately
7,000 Euros.
After
fleeing to the United States, they requested asylum, which was granted
to them by an immigration judge on January 24, 2010. According to The Christian Post:
In
his ruling, Judge Lawrence O. Burman acknowledged that not every
country can be expected to follow the United States' Constitution. But
in the case of the Romeikes, formerly of Bissingen, Germany, Burman said
the rights that were being violated were "basic human rights that no
country has a right to violate."
"Homeschoolers
are a particular social group that the German government is trying to
suppress," the judge stated in his decision, according to the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), which represented the family in their case.
Though
Germany is a democratic country and a U.S. ally, Burman noted Tuesday
that its policy against homeschoolers is "repellent to everything we
believe as Americans."
The Department of Homeland Security
appealed the immigration judge's decision to the Board of Immigration,
and on May 4, 2012, the Board or Immigration accepted their argument
that since German law prevented everyone from homeschooling, the Romeike
family did not have a legitimate case that they were being persecuted.
Specifically, the Board of Immigration held:
The
German government has the authority to require school attendance and
enforce that requirement with reasonable penalties... The compulsory
school attendance law at issue in this case is a law of general
application. As such, its enforcement and any prosecution under it are
not persecution unless the law is selectively enforced or one is
punished more severely on account of a protected ground...
The family continues to be defended by the Home
School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) which has appealed the Board
of Immigration's decision to the United States Court of Appeals for the
Sixth Circuit. The first hearing of that appeal will be held on Tuesday
(April 23).
To track the case, you can go to its page on the HSLDA's website. There you will find a link to a White House petition that you can sign. Glenn Beck interviewed the family on TheBlaze TV. Watch Part 2, if you want to meet them.
The
Department of Homeland Security's priorities are definitely askew. When
it comes to Muslim terrorists, it can't seem to find the resources
needed to track their activities. Despite a tip from Russian intelligence and an FBI interview
just 2 years ago, it apparently lost track of the Boston marathon
bombers. However, when it comes to peaceful Christian homeschoolers from
Germany, it is able to find the resources needed to prosecute them in
order to deport them from the United States.
PK'S NOTE: Pork in the bill? This is my shocked faced.
Pet Projects Sprinkled in Immigration Bill
Buried within the 844 pages of the bipartisan immigration bill --
amid historic shifts in policies such as a path to citizenship for 11
million unauthorized immigrants -- are pet provisions of the senators
who crafted it.
South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham wants more visas for
the meat industry, a major employer in his state. Sen. Charles Schumer,
D-N.Y., pushed for special treatment for Irish workers; his state is
home to a large population with Irish ancestry.
Republican Sen. Marco Rubio sought help for the cruise-ship industry,
a big business in his home state of Florida. And Democratic Sen.
Michael Bennet of Colorado wove in a boost for ski areas.
After months of difficult negotiations -- which nearly derailed an
immigration deal -- the business community and labor unions hashed out a
new work-visa program to allow up to 200,000 low-skill workers to come
to the U.S.
Adding extra visas for meat, poultry and fish cutters wasn't part of
that deal. Including it was the work of Mr. Graham, said people familiar
with the negotiations.
The final bill sets aside up to 20,000 additional visas for meat
cutters and trimmers. The industry employed 158,480 Americans nationwide
in May 2012, according to the Labor Department.
Internet Sales Tax Is a State Money Grab
Why are states so
eager to collect taxes on Internet sales?
In short, because they could
grab money from other states.
Heritage legal expert David Addington lays
it out:
Like the money-hungry federal government, many state governments
have financial and political interests in getting their hands on more and more
money to grow their governments. It is not surprising that many of those state
governments find out-of-state businesses to be lucrative and politically easy
targets for tax legislation.
Addington explains how this would
work. Take, for example, a company whose workforce and warehouses are in New
Hampshire. This company has no contacts with Illinois other than taking remote
sales orders over the Internet.
The Internet sales tax proposal would
allow Illinois politicians to use the New Hampshire company as their tax
collector. The New Hampshire company would have to collect Illinois sales tax on
its remote sales to Illinois residents and send the taxes to the Illinois state
government.
As The Wall Street Journal puts it, “Small online
sellers will therefore have to comply with tax laws created by distant
governments in
which they have no representation, and in places where they consume no local
services.”
Who’s hurt?
Who’s helped?
- State politicians, who find it politically easy to impose tax collection
duties on out-of-state businesses that have no say on taxes or tax procedures in
that state.
- States collecting new tax revenue to grow their
governments.
The Senate is likely voting today on this
proposal. As Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) put it, “what this is about is
officials in cash-strapped states across the country looking
for new ways to plug their budget holes.”
And because Congress would
be allowing states to grab from other states, Addington notes that “all the
politicians get to hide from the consequences of their own tax
decisions.”
The bottom line: “Less money in the pockets of people, more money
for big government.”

I Saw Something, So I'm Saying Something
Are you fed up with the antiseptic slogan, "If you see something, say something?"
The
authorities expect us to report suspicious backpacks, but stay silent
as the tomb about the nature of the men who put them there.
We're
instructed to speak up about a bloodied man's movement under a boat
tarp, but to shut up about the ideological movement that drove him to
commit his carnage.
Well,
as it happens, I've seen quite a lot of things over the last few years
that I'd like to say something about -- enough things to break a heart
and to kill a country.
And after the Boston Massacre committed by two immigrant jihadis, I'm going to say them.
I've
seen the president of the United States bow down before the Saudi king,
whose country sent fifteen hijackers to topple our towers. The reason
French President Sarkozy is laughing in the photo is because he's
reading the "Kick Me" sign on Obama's rump.
I've
seen Obama stand before the United Nations after the jihad-crazed
slaughter of four Americans in Benghazi, including our ambassador, and proclaim "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."
So
much for America's right of free speech! And freedom of religion! Can
you find anything in that bizarre sentence with which the Boston bombers
would disagree? No wonder Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was an Obama supporter.
I've seen Obama's minions arrest and jail an obscure California film-maker for creating a YouTube video that criticizes Mohammed. Incredibly, I then witnessed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attempt to blame
the hapless guy for inciting the Benghazi slaughter. How about
arresting Obama's pal George Clooney for bad acting? That would make
more sense.
I've seen Obama's UN ambassador hustle to pass UN Resolution 16/18,
an "anti-blasphemy law" pushed by the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation to make criticizing Islam an international crime. So if you
harsh the mellow of Shariah fanatics by critiquing their child
marriages, honor killings, homosexual hangings, and genocidal plots to
wipe out Israel, you're the one who's going to jail.
I've seen Janet Napolitano, Obama's Homeland Security
Secretary, refuse to use the term "terrorism" and insist on calling
jihad-inspired carnage "man-caused disasters." As she helpfully explained
to a German interviewer, she selected this term to "move away from the
politics of fear" and, presumably, towards the politics of insanity.
I've seen Obama's Department of Defense, which prosecutes our War on Man-Caused Disasters, order a complete purge of "anti-Islamic content" from all military training materials. Do me a favor: If you see a U.S. soldier, could you explain to him what "jihad" means?
Just this month, I've seen a U.S. Army training instructor teach his military students that "Evangelical Christianity"
is the leading movement of dangerous "Religious Extremism," along with
"Catholicism" and "Islamophobia." Funny how that works. I didn't notice
the entire city of Boston cowering inside their homes to stay safe from
Islamophobes, did you?
I've seen the FBI conduct an interview with Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 and come up blank. Maybe if Obama's FBI hadn't just purged
its counterterrorism training manual of words like Muslim, Islam,
jihad, Al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Sharia, they might have
found a clue.
Three weeks ago, I saw the U.S. Army formally refuse to
award Purple Hearts to the 13 soldiers killed and 32 wounded in the
shooting rampage of Major Nidal Hassan at Fort Hood. Although Hassan was
in extensive communication with Al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki before
screaming "Allahu Akbar" and opening fire, the military claims Hassan
merely committed "workplace violence."
I suppose Hassan's slaughter of the pregnant 21-year-old soldier Francheska Velez was just "sexual harassment." Fort Hood hero Sgt. Kimberly Munley now says that Obama "betrayed" her and the other victims.
I've seen the military refuse a Purple Heart to Private Andy Long, who was killed in 2009 outside an Army recruiting office in Little Rock, Arkansas. His murderer was an all-American boy who
converted to Islam at Tennessee State University and traveled to a
terrorist training camp in Yemen, before returning home to commit jihad.
Obama threatened to veto
the entire 2013 Defense Authorization Act, because it awarded a Purple
Heart to Private Long, whom the military claims is merely a victim of
street crime. See no jihad, hear no jihad, speak no jihad.
I've seen jihadis kill and maim Jews
at the El-Al airport counter in Los Angeles and the Seattle Jewish
Federation, attempt to blow up airplanes with explosives in their shoes
and underwear, go on a hit-and-run killing spree in San Francisco and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and plant a car bomb in Times Square. And after each Allah-crazed attack, the political-media complex rushes to assure us that Islam is "a religion of peace."
Of course, nobody in the mainstream media seemed to notice, but I watched Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris driven
underground in fear of her life after proposing "Everybody Draw
Muhammed Day" on Facebook. Unlike the late Margaret Thatcher, who
provided government protection for author Salman Rushdie when his life
was threatened by jihadis, Obama has given Molly Norris exactly nothing
-- not even one word of support.
Americans
are being disarmed of our right to free speech, our most potent weapon
in this brutal war. Obama and his media allies are locking up the
language to even discuss the nature of our enemy, and leaving us
stripped of the basic knowledge we need to resist submitting to Islam.
Oh, here's another thing I saw: Page 261 of Obama's The Audacity of Hope,
in which he writes, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political
winds shift in an ugly direction." Are the winds ugly yet?
We now know that officials from an unnamed foreign country asked the FBI two
years ago to investigate Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan
Tsarnaev because they were concerned that he possibly had “extremist
ties." This is Obama's epic failure. And still he hasn't anwered for
Benghazi and Fort Hood.
Help us educate Americans here.

BROOKLYN BRIDGE
Iyman Faris, a U.S.-based, al Qaeda operative, planned to cut the
bridge's support cables but was deterred, in part, by the NYPD's 24-hour
coverage of the bridge. Faris sent al Qaeda leaders a coded message
that, "the weather is too hot," indicating he could not carry out the
mission. He was arrested in 2003, pleaded guilty and sentenced to
federal prison.
SUBWAY CYANIDE - A plot to disperse
cyanide gas in the subway system was called off at the last minute by
Iyman Zawahiri for what he said was "something bigger."
NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE & CITIGROUP HEADQUARTERS
- Al Qaeda plot to use vehicles to bomb the New York Stock Exchange,
Citibank, and other financial institutions. NYPD tactical teams were
deployed to high-threat locations, and vehicle inspections were
increased in response. Dhiren Barot/Issa al-Hindi, an associate of
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, pleaded guilty in 2006.
GARMENT DISTRICT PLOT
The NYPD and FBI arrested Uzair Paracha for material support of
terrorism in New York based on intelligence developed overseas. Paracha
is reported to have discussed with top al Qaeda leaders the prospect of
smuggling weapons and explosives possibly even a nuclear deviceinto
Manhattan's Garment District through his father's import-export
business.
HERALD SQUARE SUBWAY STATION An NYPD
undercover officer helped disrupt a 2004 plot to bomb the Herald Square
subway station by lone-wolf admirers of Al Qaeda. Shahawar Matin Siraj
and James Elshafay conspired to blow up the 34th Street subway station,
including surveilling the subway station, choosing the location for
their bombs, and diagramming entrances and exits.
PATH TRAIN and WTC RETAINING WALL
A multi-agency investigation disrupted a plot to attack NYC's
underground transit link with New Jersey in 2006. Law enforcement
monitoring international chat rooms discovered suspects' plan to destroy
a PATH train tunnel and the retaining wall at Ground Zero, to flood the
New York Financial District. The main operative was taken into custody
in Lebanon and admitted to plotting the attack.
JFK AIRPORT/BUCKEYE PIPELINE
- Al Qaeda sympathizers plotted to bomb the fuel tanks and pipeline at
John F. Kennedy Airport, through which jet fuel is transported from New
Jersey through Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens. Four suspects were
arrested in New York and Trinidad in 2007; three were later sentenced to
life in prison.
TRANSATLANTIC PLOT A British-based
plot to destroy seven commercial aircraft over the Atlantic Ocean or fly
one or more of them into East Coast targets including New York City
resulted in multiple arrests in London.
LONG ISLAND RAILROAD
- A plot to bomb a Manhattan-bound LIRR commuter train was discussed at
the highest levels of al Qaeda operational leadership. See Bryant Neal
Vinas, of Long Island.
BRONX SYNAGOGUES Disrupted in
May 2009, the Riverdale plot targeted two Jewish centersa synagogue and
a Jewish community centerin the Bronx, and Stewart Air Base in
Newburgh, NY. The NYPD and FBI arrested four men who were convicted in
2010.
NYC SUBWAY & TRANSIT HUBS - In September
2009, Najibullah Zazi and others planned a series of coordinated suicide
bombings of NYC subway transit hubs at rush hour.
TIMES SQUARE Faisal Shahzad attempted on May 1, 2010 to detonate a bomb inside an SUV parked in Times Square on a busy Saturday night.
MANHATTAN SYNAGOGUE
- The NYPD disrupted a plot by two Queens men, Ahmed Ferhani and
Mohamed Mamdouh, to bomb a synagogue in Manhattan in May 2011.
JOSE PIMENTEL
- Muslim convert Jose Pimentel was arrested in November 2011 in
Manhattan as he constructed bombs and plotted to killer soldiers
returning home to New York from Afghanistan and Iraq. He had followed
instructions in an article from Al Qaeda's English-language magazine
"Inspire" on "How to Build a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom."
JESSE MORTON; REVOLUTION MUSLIM:
The case of Jesse Morton, a New York City-based Muslim convert,
resulted from NYPD monitoring, combined with the investigative and
prosecutorial expertise of the FBI and the U.S. Attorney for Eastern
District of Virginia. Morton was apprehended in Morocco and pleaded
guilty in Feb. 2012 to soliciting murder and encouraging violence via
the Internet; Morton was sentenced in June to 138 months in prison
followed by three years of supervised release, for using his position as
a leader of the "Revolution Muslim" organization's internet sites to
conspire to solicit murder and encourage violent extremism. His partner
Zachary Chesser was sentenced for providing material support to al
Shabaab, communicating threats and soliciting acts of extremism,
including against the creators of South Park. Chesser and Morton were
associates of Mohamed Alessa and Carlos Almonte, two New Jersey men who
pleaded guilty in March 2011 to conspiring to murder individuals
overseas on behalf of a foreign terrorist group.
Obama Years Synonymous With Terrorism
04/19/2013
The Obama Years:
For someone who goes out of his way to miniaturize the threat from
terrorism, terrorism sure seems to dog this president. When will
President Obama face up to this growing evil?
During coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings, CNN made a
startlingly inaccurate claim about the terror tempo occurring under this
administration — one that reflects the administration's own state of
denial about the rising threat.
The network's homeland security analyst, Juliette Kayyem, asserted:
"We have not had (even) a small-scale terrorist attack on American soil
since 9/11."
In fact, the nation has suffered several major attacks — and most of them have taken place on Obama's watch.
Since 2009, terrorists have shot up our military bases, assassinated
our diplomats and burned our embassies. And now they've murdered and
blown off the limbs of innocent spectators, ambushed and shot cops and
completely shut down our 10th-largest city.
June 1, 2009: Abdulhakim Mujahid
Muhammad shot and killed one military recruiter and seriously wounded
another at a Little Rock, Ark., recruiting station. Muhammad, a convert
to Islam, had visited Yemen for 16 months, where he spent time in prison
and became radicalized. Muhammad identified with al-Qaida in the
Arabian Peninsula.
Nov. 5, 2009: Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S.
Army major serving as a psychiatrist, opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas.
He shouted "Allahu Akbar!" — Allah is Greatest! — as he killed 13 and
wounded 29 fellow soldiers. Hasan had received approval for his act from
al-Qaida operative Anwar Awlaki.
March 4, 2010: John Patrick Bedell, a
Muslim convert, shot and wounded two Pentagon police officers at a
security checkpoint in the Pentagon station of the Washington Metro
transit system in Arlington County, Va.
Sept. 11, 2012: Al-Qaida operatives
attacked the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. The heavily
armed assault began during the night at a compound meant to protect the
consulate building. A second assault early the next morning targeted a
nearby CIA annex. Four people were killed, including U.S. Ambassador
Christopher Stevens. Ten others were injured.
April 15, 2013: In the latest act of
terror on Obama's watch, at least two Muslim jihadists set off
pressure-cooker bombs loaded with shrapnel at the finish line of the
Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring 183. Then, in a second wave
of terror, the terrorists shot two police officers, killing one, and
also injured several others with military-grade explosives.
