I'm currently reading THE BROTHERS OF GLASTONBURY by Kate Sedley. This is 7th of 22 in series featuring Roger the Chapman, a chapman (peddler) in 15th century England. Here is a description:
Roger the traveling chapman should be on his way home to medieval Bristol after a nice summer's peddling. At the request of the Duke of Clarence, Roger accompanies a young bride to meet her betrothed. When he delivers her, the bridegroom has vanished, shortly followed by his brother. Roger links the disappearance to an ancient manuscript written in a strange language.
30 Day Reading Challenge - Day Three: Your Favorite Series
Ah, dang it, that one's hard. I like many, many series and most crime fiction comes in series form. Three come to mind immediately: 1) CS Harris' Sebastian St. Cyr, Viscount Devlin, an investigator in Regency England, 2) CJ Sansom's Matthew Shardlake, a lawyer in mid-16th century England and 3) JD Robb's Eve Dallas, a homicide lieutenant in futuristic New York City. (and initials have nothing to do with it)
Last night was The Game of Thrones. It will be interesting if they follow the book at the end of this season or go in a different direction. They've already strayed on one character's story. But the Red Wedding is coming up. That's all I'm going to say.
I have The Voice to watch tonight. Teams are now eight performers/duos each and we're going into the knock out rounds. Not that you really care. :) But I'm okay with that.
Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
