It was published in 1980 and has 304 pages. Reginald Hill won the Diamond Dagger Award in 1995.Dalziel and Pascoe are after "The Yorkshire Choker" - who has killed several local women, following up the murders with phoned-in quotes from Hamlet (mostly about the perils of marriage). The prime suspect is a swinish local teacher with a taste for young girls, and there's also suspicion about a gypsy camp on the town outskirts. If Superintendent Dalziel is unimpressed by the literary phone calls, he is downright angry when Sergeant Wield calls in a clairvoyant. Linguists, psychiatrists, mediums -- it's all a load of nonsense as far as he is concerned, designed to make a fool of him.
Wednesday already. TV night with Lie to Me, America's Next Top Model, and Ghosthunters all on at 7. Steve doesn't have shooting tonight so not only will I have to come up with something for dinner, I won't have control of both tv's so will have to do some creative juggling. :)
I'm having lunch and reiki with JodyO again today. In fact, I'll have to leave in about 45 minutes so this will have to be a bit rushed. I had to pick up some groceries yesterday and got some very nice smelling candles -- I lit one last night and it smelled soooo good. Can't remember the maker right off hand but the candle's "scent" was "Moonlit Walk". Mmm'kay.
Today's Blog/Website of the Day is Gravetapping found at http://gravetapping.blogspot.com/. This is a more of a hardboiled book review site, that is, the crime fiction is tough and meaty. Sometimes you've got to mix it up a bit.
Gotta go put some makeup on so I can be seen in public. Then I've got to pick up Subway sandwiches and head over to JodyO's. Have a good middle-of-the-week.
Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
