Today's Blog/Website of the day belongs to Bill Peschel and his Writers 365 found at http://www.planetpeschel.com/index. This blog is dedicated to "A year's worth of entertaining, thought-provoking stories and anecdotes about writers and their books, tied to the day they occurred." Unique and interesting. Cool.

I've had one of those days where one feels like a compass with it's directional arms spinning, kinda like in Pirates of the Caribbean (for a cultural reference). Taking Tug for a long walk has done wonders. Today is a bit windy but has gotten up in the mid 50s. Niiiice.

Thursday evening JodyO and I will be (finally) going to Frost/Nixon at the theater. I say finally because it finally just got to Billings. We vowed to go see it when it opened on Christmas Day ... but not here. Sensing disgruntlement? Yes. While we're better off than some smaller towns, I would still like to get more movies here than the typical stupid-teenager/blockbusters.

Current Events: Daschle withdrew his HHS nomination after failing to pay more than $100,000 in taxes, saying he "will not be a distraction." And nominated first "chief performance officer" withdrew over smaller but multiple tax problems. What is it about the rich/those in government and not paying taxes? And it does not bode well that Iran is claiming the launch of its first satellite. Fifty years ago today the music died: Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Richie Valens. Actor Christian Bale is in the news today for dropping 37 f-bombs during a tirade on set last summer. I listened to it -- what a jerk. I've always thought he was a good actor --ever since he was a kid and first in Empire of the Sun -- but what makes ANYONE behave that way? Big car companies and Disney have all posted huge losses in financial reporting today.

Still reading and watching the same things. I don't think there's anything on tv for me so I'll have a chance of getting some reading done while Steve is at board meeting.

It's a Tuesday ... nothing exciting on a Tuesday.

Much love,
PK the Bookeemonster
