The TOTUS Who Can't Look America in the Eye

By Russ Vaugn
Not once -- not even once -- did the man who claims to be the legitimate leader of our nation ever look me, and all the other watching citizens of this nation, in the eye during his State of the Nation speech.  He was a dash-top bobble-head, swinging back and forth from prompter to prompter.

Good grief!  The man can't uncouple himself from his comfort-zone technology for even a moment to look Americans in the eye just once, and give us some sense of our comfort that he is sincere.

For those of us who endured the entire speech, it was painfully obvious that our nation is being led by a man who lives and dies by the teleprompter -- Teleprompter Rex.  It would be exceedingly interesting to see what would transpire should that teleprompter technology crash in the midst of a major speech like this one.  Perhaps America would be treated to the real Obama, without the technological defenses that wall him off from we, the unworthy.

Reality is, this affirmative-action president, a man elevated far beyond his capabilities by those who would use him for their own ends, has failed.  He's failed himself, and he's failed America.  Deliciously, he's failed those who put this puppet into the role of power.  He's failed them because he hasn't been able to enact their great socialist takeover of America.

Sadly, we as a nation will be required to endure three more years of executive ineptitude -- unless we take the Senate in 2014, which would afford America the means to rid itself of this aberration and restore some semblance of responsible leadership.

And yes, it still irks the hell out of me when my president can't look me in the eye, even over a television network. What a clueless, classless political weasel.  Think about that, America: the guy who leads you and the world won't look you in the eye.

People React To Obama’s Speech…BEFORE It Happened (Jimmy Kimmel Does It Again)

By Mike Opelka
We’re not certain if it’s just an American problem, but some people in this country seem to care more about appearing on television than they do about actually knowing what they are talking about.
Several hours before President Barack Obama addressed a joint session of Congress with his State of the Union address, ABC-TV’s late night star, Jimmy Kimmel sent his “Lie Witness News” cameras to the streets outside of his Hollywood Boulevard studios to ask people what they thought about the president’s speech. Again, Kimmel’s camera crew was on the streets before the SOTU even happened.
The unseen reporter questioned a variety of people on the substance of the speech, even drilling down to ask the victims to opine on some pretty silly questions like, “What did you think about Obama faking a heart attack at the end?” and “Was there too much product placement in the State of the Union?”
We are not sure how many people were approached by Kimmel’s crew and actually knew the speech had not yet happened, we only know that the streets of Los Angeles appear to be filled with folks who have no problem lying to a TV crew, no matter how dumb it might make them look.

Biden offered the best SOTU commentary of all

 By Thomas Lifson
How boringly familiar was the State of the Union address? Boring enough that Joe Biden, seated right behind Obama and on camera for the entire snooze fest, started mugging and interacting with members of Congress in the audience. It was quite a good commentary on the performance of the Commander in Chief who could not rise above the level of pabulum. Watch the video below and see for yourself.
At least John Boehner managed to keep a dignified look of distaste on his face the entire speech.

Obama’s State of Union: How the Mighty Have Fallen

 By Wayne Allan Root
My how the mighty have fallen. I was going to report on all the lies in Obama’s State of the Union last night. But it appears he’s more than a pathetic liar, he’s actually a thief too. Obama started out his career at the Brandenburg Gate in Germany with thousands watching. Now he plagiarizes George W. Bush’s speeches? That’s a pretty long fall.

Large swaths of this speech appear to have been lifted directly from Bush’s 2007 State of the Union. So say Bush’s speechwriter- and he should know his own words.

Now from plagiarism, we move to the original lies of Obama. The question is does he believe this stuff? Obama actually reported the U.S. economy is in “recovery.” Bernie Madoff has nothing on this guy. In Obama’s economy the food stamp rolls are growing 75 times faster than the job rolls!

Obama said there are 8 million new jobs. Maybe he’s counting people who have stopped looking for work forever, as “getting a job?” I have news for you Mr. President: They didn’t get a job. They went on disability, food stamps or welfare…probably all three. There are almost 100 million working-age Americans not working. That’s almost exactly how many Americans are on entitlements. Coincidence?
Obama said the unemployment is the lowest in 5 years. Another whopper. The fact is the amount of working age Americans without a job has increased by almost 10 million in Obama’s first five years as President. That means each and every year of Obama’s Presidency, 2 million more Americans just disappear from the workforce. That’s a neat trick. I’m sure David Copperfield is impressed.
Obama says every business owner should give a big raise to our employees. With what? The economy is in freefall. Business is dramatically down for every business owner I know. We can’t make payroll. We can no longer afford health insurance. Inflation is running rampant- our gas bills have doubled, electricity is at all-time highs. Because of you Mr. President our health insurance bills have doubled or tripled. And he wants us to give our employees a raise? We’re lucky if we can keep the doors open.

Obama introduced some pizza parlor owner that gave his employees a raise. I don’t know where you found him…perhaps he’s an actor you rented for the day. But I know a pizza parlor owner too. His four sons work for him. He paid $800 per month for health insurance for his family until Obamacare came along. His new bill? $2,400 per month. He’s dropping all his insurance. I guess he didn’t make the cut to be introduced at the State of the Union?
Of course your Obamacare law helped a few people that you introduced in the audience. It wasn’t easy finding them, was it? But for each person your healthcare law has helped, thousands have been hurt or ruined. They’ve lost their policies, doctors, life-saving drugs, or had their cost raised to unaffordable levels, or had their deductibles raised dramatically. It wouldn’t have been hard to find one of those victims. Senator Tom Coburn was sitting in the audience. He has cancer. He just lost his doctor because of Obamacare.

You said you “saved” the auto industry. Another whopper. You stole tens of billions of taxpayer money to save auto union pensions. It was pure theft. Anyone could “save” any industry by stealing billions from taxpayers and handing the money to your biggest campaign donors.

Obama said he is ordering Treasury to create some new savings bond IRA for working class people. Great. Where will they get the money? Will they cash in their food stamps for the savings? Even if working class Americans did have any extra money, this is just a new scheme to steal their retirement money. Now instead of throwing your Social Security money away to a program going broke, working people can give the government even more retirement money to steal. Obama will “borrow” it to pay more food stamps and welfare bills, and leave you with another worthless IOU.

Obama said that the NSA is not violating the privacy of ordinary Americans. Of course not, the NSA is only violating the rights of Republicans and leading critics of the President. The rest of you can go about your business.

Obama says we support Ukrainian citizens’ fight for free speech. Unfortunately he doesn’t support Dinesh D’Souza’s right to free speech here in America. He’s the conservative filmmaker who created the documentary “2016: Obama’s America.” He was just indicted.

In Obama’s America, critics are either persecuted, intimidated, or indicted.
But perhaps the biggest lie of all was Obama crooning about solar power. Spain is the green energy capital of Europe. Their whole economy is based on green energy. The result is over 27 percent unemployment, over 56 percent youth unemployment. I can’t wait to replicate the Spanish economy!

Finally Obama ended with a sweet tribute to an injured war vet. Obama loves and honors our vets…while he purges the military of any officer that disagrees with him…and cuts pensions for military vets, so he can spend more on food stamps, disability, welfare, and of course to give a billion dollars to foreign companies to build and fix the defective Obamacare web site.

But the highlight of the night was Obama getting a standing ovation from Democrats for promising to violate the Constitution; ignore checks and balances; and bypass the people, Congress, and the law of the land to pass radical and extreme parts of his agenda by Executive orders. Save that video of Democrats cheering wildly for Obama to break the law- it will make for one heck of a GOP television advertising campaign this Fall. I’d be sure to show them cheering in slow motion.

This folks is the state of our union…and the state of delusion and deception in Obama’s America. Disgusting. Embarassing. Misleading. Criminal. And even a little plagiarism thrown in for good measure.

I guess outside of the nonstop lies and fraud, Obama just didn’t have any original material.

Obama Lied to Congress About Iran in State of the Union

By Joel B Pollak
President Barack Obama used his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening to make the best case for the interim nuclear deal with Iran--and against bipartisan sanctions legislation that enjoys majority support in both houses of Congress. The president's "best case," however, stretched the truth significantly, and in one respect was a plain lie: Iran has not "begun to eliminate its stockpile of higher levels of enriched uranium."
Under the six-month deal--the full text of which has not yet been made available, but whose details were released in general form--Iran will convert its existing highly-enriched uranium to an unusable form. What that means is that it will oxidize the highly-enriched uranium--a reversible process. None of that material will be destroyed or exported outside the country. Nothing, in short, is being "eliminated"--but preserved.
The president also claimed that Iran "is not installing advanced centrifuges." That is an artful dodge. Iran will continue to do research on those advanced centrifuges, which can be installed after the interim deal expires. Notably, the president did not claim that Iran was going to dismantle any centrifuges--a claim he could not make after Iran's foreign minister insisted to CNN last week that "we did not agree to dismantle anything."

Six Down, Two to Go

By Bryan Preston
Nearly two years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court smacked down the Environmental Protection Agency in a landmark property rights case. The court ruled that the EPA was overstepping its bounds in going after the Sackett family of Idaho. In 2007 the Sacketts wanted to build their dream home on their own land, but the EPA swept in and tried to stop them, arguing that their land was a “wetland.” It wasn’t a wetland, the Sacketts tried to go to court to win their property rights back, but the EPA ruled that they had no right even to defend themselves in court. The EPA staked out the position that the Sacketts could only deal with the EPA, which had already ruled against them.
The Supreme Court ultimately disagreed with the EPA, and the Sacketts won.
Well, over the course of their suit, the Sacketts worked with an Idaho environmental consulting firm, Kagel Environmental LLC. Kagel provided evidence that the land in question was not a wetland. The DTN Progressive Farmer reports that Kagel Environmental has been subjected to targeting by federal authorities since they worked on the Sackett case.

Ray Kagel, co-owner of Rigby, Idaho-based Kagel Environmental LLC, told DTN in an exclusive interview that he has never faced the delays now faced from the Corps of Engineers when it comes to wetlands delineation work for clients.
The Corps Walla Walla (Wash.) District maintains the recent delays from its field office in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, are just part of the usual course of business.
....Read the whole thing. Kagel cites a troubling pattern of delays, runarounds and denials by the Corps of Engineers office on wetlands determinations. He says the CoE has changed its tactics ever since the Sackett ruling. The harassment tactics resemble those the the IRS has admitted to in abusing Tea Party and conservative groups, and which King Street Patriots’ founder Catherine Engelbrecht has suffered since she founded the election integrity watchdog group.
Obviously, the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)  is not part of the Environmental Protection Agency. It answers directly to the Department of the Army at the Pentagon, which means that USACE answers to generals appointed to their posts by President Obama. Likewise, the EPA is an executive branch agency that answers to the president; its administrator is a political appointee and is given a seat in the president’s cabinet meetings.
Any coordination of actions between the USACE and EPA would probably originate above both of them.

Officials at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are conducting a massive, NSA-esque data-mining project collecting account information on an estimated 991 million American credit card accounts.
It was also learned at a Congressional hearing Tuesday that CFPB officials are working with the Federal Housing Finance Administration on a second data-mining effort, this one focused on the 53 million residential mortgages taken out by Americans since 1998.

The mortgage information is being compiled in a database that can be "reversed engineered" by hackers seeking information for identify theft, according to an expert cited during the hearing.
The revelations came in a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee, during which CFPB Director Richard Cordray was repeatedly pressed about federal officials rummaging around in the private financial affairs of millions of Americans.
"We're collecting aggregated information," Cordray told the committee while defending the bureau's data-mining efforts.

Did D'Souza Hit a Nerve?

By Richard Butrick
....What D'Souza does not explicitly bring out is the racist mentality that is the driving force and justification for colonialism: the "take up the white man's burden" mentality.  His thesis becomes even stronger when the racist dimension behind colonialism is front and center.  For that is what the anti-colonialist mind or post-anticolonialist mind sees as still being the driving force behind most of the world's ills -- at least those at are policy correctable.

Now add in the actions of his enforcer-in-chief, Holder.

(1) Low rate of Black home ownership?  Racist banks.

(2) High rate of Black unemployment?  Racist hiring practices.

(3) High rate of Black high school dropouts?  Racist high school disciplinary practices.

(4) Income inequality of Black and Hispanics?  Racist, exclusionary corporate culture.

(5) Turmoil in the Middle East?  Hatred of the US?  Orientalism, imperialism, colonialism, jingoism - aka racism.

(6) and now the Obama administration, led by Holder, has decided that Islam is a race.  Therefore to examine or even to adduce a Muslim's Islamic beliefs about jihad, beheading, violence against kuffar ("infidels"), or re-establishing a caliphate is tantamount to racism

The blame-racism mindset also explains how the President listens politely to learned disquisitions from counselors and experts about the economy, foreign policy and domestic policy, but is hardly more than mildly bemused.   He tolerates lesser minds and their take on problems besetting the US and the nations of the world.  He will listen politely to theories of business cycles and money supply and the complexities of Mideast politics and Black unemployment but he knows what the real problem is: racism.  Racism in all its transformations, reincarnations and disguises.

The President presents his vision in sonorous bromides about fairness.  Fair shot.  Fair shake.  Fair share.  Then there is the "togetherness" gambit.  We are all in this together.  We can accomplish great things if we all pull together.  Appeals to fairness and togetherness are dog-whistle shibboleths to ending racist exclusionary practices in the workplace in housing and education.

The problem is that the racism-is-the-problem mindset results in problem-solving geared to the same.  Like Don Quixote, President Obama sallies forth with his squire Sancho Holder to tilt at vestiges of colonialism while the real problems facing the nation have little or nothing to do with racism:

(1) the worst labor force participation rate since the Great Depression: racism?

(2) crumbling student performance: racism?

(3) "non-core" al-Qaeda terrorist groups are spreading like wildfire but labeling them terrorist would be Islamophobic (aka racist)?

The result is more and more regulations and penalties and surveillance to crush the evil dragons of postcolonial racism.

And now d'Souza has been indicted for campaign donation fraud involving 20k.  The charges were made after a "routine review" by the FBI of campaign filings.  Did D'Souza hit a nerve? Is the D'Souza thesis - especially in its racist formulation - gaining traction?

Recently President Obama blamed racism for his falling popularity numbers.  Will the President fess up and claim openly that in his opinion it is racism and the vestiges of racism that are the root causes of "social injustice" at home and animosity abroad? He is too politically astute for that.  So in that sense we will never know.

Is the man with the purported 12 cylinder Ferrari mind really sporting a single cylinder under the hood? It is beginning to rattle like one.
