Holy shnikeys....

Are They Gone Yet?

I think next up on the Kindle for me is A MATTER OF JUSTICE by Charles Todd. This is 11th of 16 (dangit, I'm catching up) in series featuring Ian Rutledge, a shell-shocked World War I veteran returning to his job at Scotland Yard, in London. Here is a description:
At the start of a new century, in a war far away from England, two British soldiers see a golden opportunity . . . and do the unthinkable to take advantage of it. Twenty years later, a successful though much despised London businessman is found savagely and bizarrely murdered in a medieval tithe barn on his estate in Somerset. For Scotland Yard inspector Ian Rutledge, a man still shaken by the Great War's deafening echoes, the well-concealed trail he must now follow is leading back to an event so monumentally barbarous that its consequences envelop even the innocent. And when justice takes a malevolent turn, one haunted policeman must stand alone against the onrushing tide.

It was published in 2008 and has 352 pages.

I don't have anything on TV tonight so I'll probably read or watch some DVD, either Elementary or Veronica Mars. I'm going to attempt to make a simplified version of beef bourguignon, or perhaps a sort of beef stroganoff without the cream kind of thing.

I had an eye allergy thing last night and took a couple benedryl so I was knocked out for the night. Steve had a low sugar attack during the night so he stayed home this morning to get some sleep. Bad voodoo vibes going on last night. :)

I'm ready for the weekend, I tell ya.

Much love,
