The truth and nothing' but...

I'm currently reading THE ANATOMIST'S APPRENTICE by Tessa Harris. This is 1st of a possible series featuring Dr. Thomas Silkstone, a young anatomist from Philadelphia in Georgian England. Here is a summary:

The death of Sir Edward Crick has unleashed a torrent of gossip through the seedy taverns and elegant ballrooms of Oxfordshire. No one mourns the dissolute young man - except his sister, the beautiful Lady Lydia Farrell. When her husband comes under suspicion of murder, she seeks expert help from Dr. Thomas Silkstone, a young anatomist from Philadelphia. Thomas arrived in England to study under its foremost surgeon, where his unconventional methods only add to his outsider status. Against his better judgment he agrees to examine Sir Edward's body. But the deeper the doctor's investigations go, the greater the risk that he will be consigned to the ranks of the corpses he studies.

It was published in 2011 and has 304 pages.

Today at work we went live on a new dialing program -- basically the program that all calls come through. I was on it all day. It isn't a horrible program at all, it just isn't 100% all there yet. So the day wasn't as stressful as I thought it could be but I am a little worn out.

The boys thought it was a weekend this morning. Ryker was in my face and Coda laid half on top of me in their excitement to go for their run. Sadly, the alarm went off (they jumped) and I had to get up to shower and get ready for work. Unhappy boys.

I'm going to catch up a little on news and then read for a bit.

Much love,
