Bill Whittle on Things to Come in a 2013 America

Mankind has transformed itself from an agrarian culture to an industrial culture over centuries. Now, the United States is changing in a matter of decades from an industrial society to a post-industrial one. What will our economy look like in the new year and the decades that follow, and how will this impact government? Find out as Bill Whittle tells you about the things to come.

Progressive Think:

If Obama succeeds in this effort to transform this country, then people who are currently in their teenage years are gonna grow up thinking that Obama and Obamaism is the answer to problems. Whether it is or not is not gonna matter. They’re going to grow up thinking that.

They’re gonna grow up thinking that at least Obama tried, at least Obama cared, at least Obama recognized and tried to fix what was wrong. And he made it fairer, and he tried to make sure that the Haves had not as much and not more than they needed and so forth. People have been facing this for a generation as it is. People are being taught this in kindergarten and grade school into elementary and so forth. They grow up thinking this stuff, and it becomes part of their being, and changing their minds becomes a very difficult thing to do. It takes a special leader to be able to change people’s minds.

Obama Uses Funeral Service to Talk About Himself

President Barack Obama used the funeral for Hawaii senator Daniel Inouye to talk about himself. In the short 1,600 word speech, Obama used the word "my" 21 times, "me" 12 times, and "I" 30 times.

Obama's speech discussed how Inouye had gotten him interested in politics. "Danny was elected to the U.S. Senate when I was two years old," he said.

Speaking to the audience at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., Obama talked about his family and their vacations. "Now, even though my mother and grandparents took great pride that they had voted for him, I confess that I wasn't paying much attention to the United States Senate at the age of four or five or six.  It wasn't until I was 11 years old that I recall even learning what a U.S. senator was, or it registering, at least.  It was during my summer vacation with my family -- my first trip to what those of us in Hawaii call the Mainland," said Obama.
So we flew over the ocean, and with my mother and my grandmother and my sister, who at the time was two, we traveled around the country.  It was a big trip.  We went to Seattle, and we went to Disneyland -- which was most important.  We traveled to Kansas where my grandmother's family was from, and went to Chicago, and went to Yellowstone.  And we took Greyhound buses most of the time, and we rented cars, and we would stay at local motels or Howard Johnson's.  And if there was a pool at one of these motels, even if it was just tiny, I would be very excited. And the ice machine was exciting -- and the vending machine, I was really excited about that.
But this is at a time when you didn’t have 600 stations and 24 hours' worth of cartoons.  And so at night, if the TV was on, it was what your parents decided to watch.  And my mother that summer would turn on the TV every night during this vacation and watch the Watergate hearings.  And I can't say that I understood everything that was being discussed, but I knew the issues were important.  I knew they spoke to some basic way about who we were and who we might be as Americans.
And so, slowly, during the course of this trip, which lasted about a month, some of this seeped into my head.  And the person who fascinated me most was this man of Japanese descent with one arm, speaking in this courtly baritone, full of dignity and grace.  And maybe he captivated my attention because my mom explained that this was our senator and that he was upholding what our government was all about.  Maybe it was a boyhood fascination with the story of how he had lost his arm in a war.  But I think it was more than that.
Now, here I was, a young boy with a white mom, a black father, raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.  And I was beginning to sense how fitting into the world might not be as simple as it might seem.  And so to see this man, this senator, this powerful, accomplished person who wasn't out of central casting when it came to what you'd think a senator might look like at the time, and the way he commanded the respect of an entire nation I think it hinted to me what might be possible in my own life.
Obama also mentioned the heroic life of Inouye. "And so we remember a man who inspired all of us with his courage, and moved us with his compassion, that inspired us with his integrity, and who taught so many of us -- including a young kid growing up in Hawaii –-- that America has a place for everyone," Obama concluded.

Grotesque Obama eulogy for Sen. Inouye

Signs are accumulating that re-election has aggravated an already serious ego problem for Barack Obama. His eulogy for Senator Daniel Inouye yesterday shocked even some people favorably inclined toward the president, for its focus not on the departed, but on Barack Obama himself. Emily Yoffe of Slate - far from a conservative outlet --  wrote with disgust:
Someone needs to tell Barack Obama-it must get particularly confusing this time of year-that his own birth is not Year One, the date around which all other events are understood. His much-noted, self-referential tic was on cringe-worthy display Friday when the president gave his eulogy for the late Sen. Daniel Inouye, who served in Congress for half a century representing Obama's birth state of Hawaii. (snip)
Obama likes to see events through the lens of his own life's chronology. Thus we learn that Inouye was elected to the Senate when Obama was 2 years old. Now you could make this relevant by describing how Inouye worked to send federal dollars (you don't have to call it "pork" at a funeral) to transform Hawaii's roads and schools, for example, so that the Hawaii Obama grew up in had the kind of facilities people on the mainland had long taken for granted. But no, we simply learn that Inouye was Obama's senator until he left the state to go to college-something apparently more momentous than anything Inouye did during his decades in office.
There is much more in this vein.

Examiner Editorial: GM is alive and taxpayers got ripped off

Even by the standards of Washington, spending about $31 billion worth of taxpayer dollars to get yourself re-elected is a pretty audacious act. Yet that is exactly what President Obama did with the GM bailout.
"Osama bin Laden is dead and GM is alive" was his campaign's mantra. And lest anyone think that using TARP funds to keep the auto company alive was an act of charity, Obama said as recently as October: "We got back every dime."

Now that the election is over, he doesn't need to keep up that pretense any more. This week, the Treasury Department announced it would sell half of the government's stake in GM back to the company. The rest of the shares will be sold off over the next year or so.

If the Treasury is able to sell the rest of the taxpayers' GM shares at the same price that it bought them from GM, then the Obama administration will have recouped just $34 billion of the $51 billion the federal government spent on the car company. That's a $17 billion loss.

Throw in the $14 billion the federal government lost bailing out Ally Financial, formerly known as GMAC (GM's technically independent financing arm), and Obama's total GM losses reach about $31 billion.

What did this get in return? Well, it didn't get us a resurgent company, no matter what Obama campaign press releases say. As recently as 2006, GM had almost a quarter -- 24 percent -- of the domestic auto market. That has now fallen to about 16 percent, down from 18 percent a year ago and just barely above Ford and Toyota. At this rate, Obama could round out his second term by giving it another bailout.
It didn't turn around America's manufacturing sector either. Since July of this year, the U.S. economy has lost, not gained, 26,000 manufacturing jobs.

No, what the bailout did was save Obama's allies in the United Auto Workers, whose "sacrifices" amounted to putting all of the pain on the company's new hires while protecting existing employees from losing the pay and benefits that helped make the company uncompetitive in the first place. People who actually invested money in the company took a bath. Just like the taxpayers now.

That and the bailout gave Obama a persuasive talking point for voters in Rust Belt states Ohio and Pennsylvania.

But it did cost taxpayers some dimes. About 310 billion of them, in fact.

PK'S NOTE: This "professor" still has his First Amendment rights to do this, however, everyone should be aware of what is going in the educational system today and vote with your feet and taking away money on this type of behavior.

University of North Carolina Hires Professor Who Writes Pornographic Poems About Students

The folks over at Campus Reform have done it again; they've exposed pornographic poems of a professor who was recently hired at the University of North Carolina. Not only are the poems pornographic, they describe sexual fantasies with freshman students.
Content warning.
A public university has hired an English literature professor whose pornographic verse includes fantasies of having sexual relations with freshmen female students, an education watchdog reported this week.

In Prof. Alessandro Porco’s poem “Hot Girl-Girl Action University” the fictional university president Jill Kelly offers a welcome to the freshman class.

“Who would say No to a gang-bang?
Who would say No to Prof. Poon-Tang?
Who would say No to my scholarly toungin’?
Thank you fathers for your daughters.”

That poem is part The Jill Kelly Poems, ranked 3,963,932 on Amazon, which chronicles the life of a porn star through poetry.

In an interview on a website called PopMatters.com, Porco describes it as “my book-length ode to the adult-film star affectionately referred to as ‘the anal queen.”
Not surprisingly, university officials are defending Porco.
Campus Reform was unable to reach Porco for comment, but a spokesperson for the University of North Carolina -- Wilmington said the school had hired Proco based on his expertise.

He "was hired based on his record of scholarship, experience, subject matter expertise, and references,” Janine Iamunno, Executive Director for University Relations, told Campus Reform in a statement on Friday.

“[W]hile some may disagree personally with the content of an individual’s writings, the content of those writings constitute protected speech,” Iamunno added.

PK'S NOTE: And you might remember this winner of a teacher. Now the parents are suing and I wish them luck and an excellent attorney. Again, this is in our schools and we need to throw a bright light on their behavior.

Public School Teacher Mocks Female Student’s Romney T-Shirt, Accuses Her of Supporting the KKK

It’s not always fun and easy being a young Republican, let alone an enthusiastic Mitt Romney supporter. Whoa:
The parents of the Charles Carroll High School student ridiculed and ordered by her teacher to remove a t-shirt supporting Mitt Romney sued the teacher and school district on Friday, claiming the act violated the girl's civil rights.

Filed in federal court in Philadelphia, the suit says the district ignored Samantha Pawlucy's right to free speech, let other students threaten and harass her and subjected her "to emotional distress, simply because she exercised her First Amendment rights."
Fernando Gallard, a spokesman for the district, said it would not comment on the lawsuit.

Pawlucy, a 16-year-old sophomore from Port Richmond, drew national headlines from the furor that erupted when she wore a pink "Romney-Ryan" shirt during a dress-down day at school in September.

According to the lawsuit, Pawlucy had worn the shirt all day when she walked into geometry teacher Lynette Gaymon's classroom.

The teacher allegedly told the teen that Charles Carroll was a "Democratic" school and that her shirt was akin to one spouting a logo for the Ku Klux Klan. She ordered Pawlucy to remove the shirt, then enlisted an aide who tried to draw an X through the candidates' name on the shirt.

Pawlucy's parents complained to school officials and the story went viral.
Gaymon later publicly apologized to the girl. But Pawlucy claims she endured ongoing harassment and threats and was unable to return to the school.

What kind of “educator” acts this way? Sure, teachers can certainly disagree with the political opinions of their students. But to publicly embarrass -- and ridicule -- a young girl for supporting a major party candidate for president is beyond comprehension. As I understand it, this geometry teacher doesn’t even attempt to engage her student in any type of meaningful discussion or dialogue.

Instead, she reflexively resorts to fear tactics and intimidation. And while it’s difficult to imagine filing a full-blown lawsuit against my teacher if I found myself in a similar situation, I can fully understand why the student’s family believed this was necessary. The audaciousness of this “grown-up’s” behavior is simply astonishing.

Meanwhile, it’s comforting to know how taxpayer dollars are being spent these days: ridiculing young minds and bullying teenagers. Then again, I guess we really shouldn’t be surprised.

Texas Curriculum Teaching Allah is God Almighty

Several weeks ago I wrote about a new curriculum being used in Texas schools that defined the Boston Tea Party as a terrorist act and literally condemned the rebellious actions of the colonists.  The same curriculum goes even further to rewrite history and destroy America’s foundational Christian roots.

The curriculum is produced by an organization known as CSCOPE who is owned and operated by Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC).  According to their website:

“The collaborative’s goal is to provide a quality curriculum support system to Texas K-12 schools. TESCCC has developed CSCOPE, a comprehensive, customized, user-friendly curriculum support system. In addition to the curriculum, CSCOPE encompasses resources for the implementation, monitors the curriculum and establishes an accountability process to ensure a quality implementation.”
“The curriculum component of CSCOPE is based on best practice models from top researchers. Lessons are all aligned with the TEKS/TAKS and each lesson meets the highest standards of rigor and relevance.”
“As of September 25, 2012, there are 875 active CSCOPE districts. This equates to approximately 70% of the districts in Texas.”
So what else are 70% of the school districts in Texas teaching your kids?

To start with, the curriculum teaches that the Second Amendment only applies to state run militias and not private citizens.  In other words they are teaching that there is no constitutional right for Americans to bear or own firearms unless they are part of state operated militia like the National Guard.  Mind you that the US Supreme Court has ruled in several cases lately that the Second Amendment does apply to every American citizen.

The curriculum also has a section on Islam where it teaches students a variety of verses from the Quran including:

“Who Is Allah?”
“Allah is the Almighty God.”
“Allah alone is the Creator. He alone deserves our devout love and worship.”
The section on Islam also lists verses that malign other religions and then provides instructions on how to convert to Islam.

To no surprise, the geography section of the CSCOPE curriculum teaches the positive aspects of globalism.  One test contains the following question:

“Which of the following has been a benefit of globalization?”
“a) pandemics, b) increased standard of living, c) loss of local culture, and finally, d) widespread environmental impacts.”
The accepted answer is b) increased standard of living.

In virtually all subjects of the CSCOPE curriculum, students are taught a revisionist view of history in which America is the bad guy and that free enterprise and democracy are wrong.  Instead of being patriotic to America, we should embrace globalism and be happy as one with the rest of the world.

I could not find anything that taught about Christianity or Judaism or how to convert to either of them, but there an extensive section on Islam.

Texas is a big state with a lot of children and I find it very alarming to see what up to 70% of them are being taught.  This is why so many parents are losing their kids to today’s secular culture.  It’s also why more parents need to find a way to either homeschool their kids or put them in private school where they won’t be subject to the liberal progressive anti-American and anti-Christian brainwashing they are getting every day in the public classroom.

Question John Kerry Long and Hard!

Sen. John Kerry has a long and dubious record in foreign policy.

In the 1970's, he testified against his fellow Vietnam War veterans before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He charged that they were violating the Geneva Conventions every day in Vietnam. Some POWs were outraged at Kerry's disloyal statements. They said they had been tortured by their Communist captors trying to force them to make such untrue statements.

Worse, Kerry went to Paris in 1971. There, he met with North Vietnamese Communists. We need to see all his notes from those meetings. Any negotiation between a private U.S. citizen and a foreign power is illegal. It violates the Logan Act of 1798. Did Kerry demand of the North Vietnamese Communists that they abide by the Geneva Convention? Or is that only a demand he made of his fellow Americans?

We do not charge Kerry with treason in the statements and actions he engaged in then. Treason consists of giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States. But this country has set a very high bar for conviction for treason -- ever since the Burr Treason Trial of 1807. Nonetheless, we do say Kerry's actions and statements then were not those to which America's top diplomat should be linked. What was he thinking?

In the 1980s, Kerry campaigned for the Nuclear Freeze. The Soviet KGB, we now know, was a major funder and promoter of this disastrous idea. The Freezeniks believed that President Carter's promise to send Pershing and Cruise missiles to our NATO allies in Western Europe should be dishonored.

Freezeniks thought that the only thing we should do in response to aggressive Soviet placement of SS-19 and SS-20 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles (IRBMs) in Eastern Europe was to freeze the West into no response. By freezing in terror, we could morally pressure the Soviets into withdrawing their missiles, the naive Freezeniks argued. Harvard's Polish-born Adam Ulam famously punctured this pink balloon: "An' wot will you doo iff they dun't?"

Ulam's common sense response was followed by President Ronald Reagan. Reagan agreed with the democratically elected Socialist President of France, Francois Mitterrand, that NATO would fall apart if we failed to meet this Soviet thrust. The Cruise and Pershing Missiles went forward. And, in good time, Reagan and Mitterand's policy of peace through strength brought the greatest arms reduction treaty in history and it helped bring down the Iron Curtain.

Has John Kerry learned anything from that experience? We need to know.

Then, there is his appalling joke when President George H.W. Bush was elected. He said the Secret Service has instructions, if anything happens to President Bush -- "to shoot Dan Quayle."

He got a lot of yuks from the media on that one.

Question 1: Does Sen. Kerry think assassination of the President and Vice President is funny?

Question 2: If John Q. or Jane Q Public makes a joke about murder of the President and Vice President, they get a visit from the Secret Service; why does a United States Senator like Kerry get away with it?

For these and a host of other reasons, John Kerry should be grilled with tough questions. He has been wrong about every major foreign policy issue since 1972. Aren't his failures over four decades something his colleagues should worry about?

Socialists Outline Democrat’s Agenda for Next Two Years

Contrary to popular opinion, the US Democratic Party does not set much of its own policy.
Democrat policy is actually dictated by the labor unions and radical think tanks, such as the Center for American Progress, and the Institute for Policy Studies.

The unions are dominated by the US’s largest Marxist organization Democratic Socialists of America – which also works closely with the C.A.P. and I.P.S.

So, by a process of osmosis and deliberate orchestration, D.S.A., and their friends in the Communist Party USA, effectively dictate Democrat policy at state and national levels.

On November 16, the Democratic Socialists of America National Political Committee released After the Election: Keep Fighting, a blueprint for DSA action and priorities for the first segment of Obama’s second term.

It is basically a guide to action for long time DSA ally Barack Obama and the Democratic Party, over the next two years.

Diverting money from the military to social spending will be a huge part of the agenda. After all, a strong US military is the major block to world revolution.

The push will be towards universal socialist healthcare and an economy wrecking Financial Transactions Tax.

Ending poverty through massive re-distribution will be a big focus… capitalizing on the 50th anniversary of DSA founder Michael Harrington‘s famous book “The Other America,” which helped to launch Lyndon Johnson’s catastrophic and completely counter productive “War on Poverty” in the mid-1960s.

Students will be manipulated with promises of loan forgiveness. There will be a huge push for immigration reform. DSA leader Eliseo Medina, a leader of the movement, has openly boasted that this will mean eight million more Democrat Party votes.
The Right, backed by a toxic flow of big money into politics and shameless efforts at voter suppression, tried to turn the 2012 election into a mandate for a regressive political agenda. The Republicans intended to overturn the modest gains of the president’s first term and roll back progressive reforms dating back to the New Deal…
Taken as a whole, the results were a narrow but decisive victory for progressives that more than exceeded expectations, demonstrating just how out of touch the Republicans are. Progressive voters and their organizations can be justly proud of their role in achieving this result.
The challenges are many, and the best way not to lose heart is to address them sequentially. First, we must resist the immediate blackmail of the “Fiscal Cliff,” that illegitimate offspring of the “Deficit Crisis” mania that paralyzed Washington in Obama’s first term. DSA will work together in local coalitions with the many organizations of the Coalition on Human Needs to defend the interests of the working poor and most vulnerable members of society.
DSA will also advance sensible demands that may not be those of all coalition members. Cutting military budgets and recognizing that military projects are ineffective at generating jobs are essential to right the economy. Medicare is best fixed by expanding it to cover all, young and old. A financial transactions tax would go a long way toward reducing the deficit
In 2013, DSA will help mobilize for an August March on Washington for Democracy and Equality, making use of its 50th Anniversary Other America materials in its preparation. We also support the call of Cornel West and Tavis Smiley for a White House Conference on ending poverty.
And, we will organize for the YDS campaign for Affordable and Accessible Higher Education and to support the Student Loan Forgiveness Act.
Since the election results firmly placed immigration reform on the national agenda, DSA reaffirms its support for comprehensive reform that welcomes and eases the path for millions of new citizens and we will actively take parts in campaigns to achieve it.
DSA cannot try to do everything that should be done, but should strive to do a few things well. Part of our internal political education program, using GET UP (Grassroots Economics Training for Understanding and Power) materials, is to bring together our analytic and organizing skills so that we can better set and carry out our local and chapter priorities.
DSA is determined to use the breathing space won in the election campaign to refocus our resolve and strengthen our work for real social justice.
Until conservatives and Republicans realize that they are opposing a Marxist dominated party, they are destined to a series of defeats on the way to political oblivion.

This is no longer the party of Truman or Kennedy, but the party of Marx, Lenin, Alinsky and Gramsci.

The old rules of fair play no longer apply. The modern Dems will lie, cheat, steal elections and viciously demonize their opposition at every opportunity.

Republicans are no longer fighting old line Democrats. They are effectively battling D.S.A, the Communist Party and the labor unions. The Democrats are simply a front for the Marxists.

These people play dirty, and they play for keeps.
